LAST CHANCE for a puffling release trip with us this season: Sunday September 1st, 10am
Did you know that many puffin babies are attracted to human-made light pollution on land during fledgling season and need to be rescued?
And YOU can be part of this: Experience rescued pufflings being released right off our tour boat.
Very limited spaces are available for Sept. 1st 2024, 10am, first come first serve.
Call (709)334-2621 to book your spots or email [email protected]
Rates for pufflings release trips:
$77 adults, $70 seniors, $67 under 16
Please note that the puffling release will be dependent on weather and on how many birds were caught the night before. The number of birds to be released also determines if and how much time there will be left to visit the puffins' breeding island and/or look for whales.
We also still see beautiful adult Puffins on all of our regular tours, this is your last chance, Labour Day Sept 2nd will be our very last day for tours this season!
And we all need to do better turning off lights facing the Witless Bay Reserve Islands during the night from August through October, so that no puffin chicks get lured the wrong way in the first place. Because we cannot find and rescue all, many still die, unseen.

Ocean Sunfish are so strange and so awesome to watch. Watch how this one lifted his eye out of the water to look at us in the beginning of the video.
