Yesterday, while on our walk at Mapleton Park, Becky Gillcash spotted this different looking duck amongst the mallards. 🦆

I sent this prize winning photograph 🏆 to my new friend I met through WOW, Cathy Smith Simon from Nature Moncton. She suspected it to be a leucistic female mallard duck which was later confirmed in the article linked to below. ⬇️

Saturday Rog & I checked out the Beaver Ski Club cross country ski trails in Grande-Digue outside Shediac! 🎿

Conditions were great! 😊

We skied in to the chalet 🏠 for a cup of hot chocolate (bring cash for the canteen) and crashed their AGM! ☕️

Fall tally- 2 or 3? Scream tally?! Too many times to count…

Roger, ‘I’m having fun’…music to my ears!

The ski in to the chalet is sheltered in the woods, straight and mostly flat…good for skiers of all abilities.

$5/person fee or annual membership.

You can e-transfer if you don’t have cash.

A prescription for Nature! 🍃

Yes! In my roll as Health & Wellness Coordinator at a community pharmacy and in my business Maritime Detours I’ve always taken people beyond medication to discover the healing powers of nature!

Did you know a prescription for Nature (PaRx) is a real thing? And it helps us in so many ways!

That’s why my top priority for the Town of Riverview is to open a multidisciplinary health & wellness clinic that includes what’s missing in Riverview now:

✅ a primary healthcare team so all residents have access to primary healthcare
✅ a walk in clinic
✅ a volunteer staffed resource center
✅ programs to help connect people to community and nature Heather Fraser Explore Nature’s Bounty Women of the Wilderness (WOW)
✅ on site mental health navigators, peer support workers and programs
✅ a teaching kitchen/food bank
✅ multi-use rooms for not for profits
✅ a community health & wellness coordinator who carries on the work I currently do at the pharmacy

This is something we can achieve by working with municipal government, local businesses, not for profits and the community… to provide a hub for collaboration and research!

Greens have the opportunity this election to hold the balance of power in a minority government situation…

In that case all parties work together for the betterment of our communities.

Don’t be afraid to vote your values this election. Don’t be afraid to vote for your Parti vert NB Green Party candidate.
