First of all, thanks for following us! That’s what we talk about.

The posts on Bonjour Québec’s social media pages talk about travelling in Québec. We’re glad to have you join the conversation and happy to hear your comments and opinions. To keep this a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive space, here are a few rules we’re sure you’ll agree make a whole lot of sense! 😉

1. Respectful
• Bonjour Québec pages are for positive interactio

n. Negative comments (comments that are crude, harmful, obscene, violent, hateful, threatening, deceitful, slanderous, or discriminatory) will not be tolerated, nor will any type of agitation.

• Content that people may find offensive or that exposes individuals or groups of people to hate or contempt for reasons of origin, race, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disability is a hard no—don’t even think about it.

• Respect privacy. Avoid sharing personal information—yours or other people’s—publicly (for example, phone numbers, email addresses) and write us privately if you have a personal issue.

• All your comments will be read and considered, we promise! There’s no need to post the same message several times.

• Writing in all-caps on the web is like yelling (unless you’re writing an acronym). PLEASE DON’T YELL (😉) and please avoid strings of special characters (such as !!!! # # #*** !), which are subject to interpretation.

2. Topical and trustworthy
• Express yourself as clearly as you can. It’s hard to answer if we don’t understand what you’re trying to say.

• Our field of specialty is tourism in Québec. When commenting, stick to the subject of the post, and please don’t ask questions involving other areas of expertise. We don’t have all the answers.

• Check your sources. If you put a link to a site and we can’t confirm it’s authentic or credible, we may delete your post.

• You can share your favourite things and places if they’re related to the subject of the post. But please, nothing that’s off topic.

3. The fine print
• If you want to share a picture, text, or music that is not yours, make sure you have the owner’s consent before you do.

• Don’t make any comments that encourage or refer to illegal acts.

❄️ When winter sets in Gaspésie, it turns this legendary land, once called “Gespeg”—the end of the land in the Mi’kmaq language—into a living tableau of wild beauty and wonder. Here, the sea and the mountains come together in an icy embrace, offering breathtaking landscapes.

From beaches frozen under ice where the waves seem to whisper with each tide, to snow-capped cliffs where the wind whispers tales of the past, every corner invites exploration and reverie. For an adventure at the “end of the world”, here are a few must-sees:

🏔️Ski down the slopes of the Chic-Chocs Mountains or Gaspé National Park while admiring breathtaking panoramic views.

🌊 Contemplate the imposing Percé Rock, under its winter coat.

🍲 Enjoy the warm welcome of the coastal villages and feast on local specialities, such as a good steaming chowder! A real feast for the soul and palate.

🦭 With a bit of luck, observe curious seals resting on the ice floe, a spectacle as rare as it is magical.

🥂❄️Do you really know about ice cider?
A local product, it is to our unique climate that we owe its origin: with our harsh winter temperatures required to concentrate of sugars in frozen apples, essential ingredients in its making...and that's good because it's the season!

If you're in the area on January 18, 19, 25 and 26, the Domaine Lafrance in the Basses Laurentides invites you to the orchards to discover the magic behind the process of making their ice cider, while contributing to the production of their "Cuvée Spéciale" made using cryoextraction.

On the 100%-free program:
🍎Frozen apple picking.
🍎Guided tour of the cider house.
🍎Stroll through snow-covered orchards on over 25 hectares, with options for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or mountain walking enthusiasts.
🍎Relaxation area with bonfire and roasted marshmallows.

Does the great outdoors whet your appetite? A stop at Bistro Le Lafrance is a must, with its classic and comforting menu for the occasion, as well as delicious cocktails and tasting boards of different varieties of ice ciders and spirits. ($)
