We started a big project this week. We are adding a 1500 feet of trail section beside the pond that is more in the forest, so we can bypass a few spots that get affected by the sun on warmer days. Hopefully things dry up this summer so we can have the new section ready for this upcoming winter season.
Thanks to our son, who loves his chickens, we now have fresh farm eggs available for purchase. 5$ a dozen. Can be picked up on location, will be available to those who rent a cabin, and we will have some available next winter season. Please send us a message if interested.
We were busy this week improving the side of the pond. We added sand to the one side where the water sports equipment is all the way to the dock. This will be much better for those who jump off the dock and to launch or land any equipment.
Today is opening weekend for our off grid cabins. We added a couple of new features, including campfire cooking grills at each cabin and some activities to keep kids busy.

With 8 off grid cabins to choose from on our 4 acre man made pond with a big beach and a good selection of kayaks, SUPs and pedal boat that are included with the cabin rentals, this is the place to escape it all and connect with nature.
Cabins 1 to 4 are pet friendly, so even your dog can enjoy the water. Fishing is allowed but catch and release only as we are trying to build up a good population of fish.

With the very mild temperatures, rain and high winds we got in recent days, it did too much damage for us to re-open safely. For that reason, skating is officially done for the season. If we get a big snowstorm, there might be hope for the tubing hill, but it's not looking good. We want to thank everyone who made it out this year even tho it was a difficult season once again. Fingers crossed we get a better winter next year.
Sap is flowing very good tonight. Looks like we'll be busy boiling tomorrow and have some fresh maple syrup.
We will be closed until further notice due to warm temperatures. We hope to re-open on Thursday if conditions permit it. We will still be hosting our school groups that have not canceled.

Ice is looking very good this morning, too bad it's going to warm up above 0 and that the sun is out. Today we will open at 9am for skating to get in a few hours of skating. Ice will likely close at noon today unless it gets cloudy and temperatures stay colder then predicted. This will likely be our last day open for skating this season. Make sure to come early to get best ice conditions. Tubing, petting zoo and food truck will remain open until 8pm. Online tickets sale for skating and all access are closed but can be purchased at the door.
With tomorrow's warm weather in the afternoon, we will be opening at 9am to get an extra hour of skating in. Looking at the weather now, looks like we may have to shut down the ice around noon or so. Fingers crossed it stays colder. Online ticket sales have been closed for tomorrow for skating and all access, but tickets can be purchased on site in the morning for skating. Ice will be flooded tonight and will be in great condition early in the morning. Tubing, petting zoo and food truck will be open until 8pm. See you tomorrow for what will likely be our last day of skating for the season.
We worked on the ice and hill all night to have everything ready for today. Hill is in good condition. Ice has a few humps due to warm weather, but it's in pretty good condition overall. We are open from 10am to 10pm today for skating and tubing. Petting zoo and food truck are also open. This will likely be our last Saturday open for skating, so don't miss your chance. For tomorrow, with the temperature warming up in the afternoon, we may only be open for skating until noon or so, so try and plan accordingly if you were planning on coming skating tomorrow. Tubing will be open all day tomorrow.
We are closed today for all activities but ice is holding up great and with tonights cold we should be able to flood all night and have good condition for skating Saturday and a part or Sunday due to mild weather again. With the warm weather next week this might be the end of skating this season other then maybe a few morning here and there, so don't miss out on your chance to come on out this weekend. Tubing hill will also be open all weekend.

We got some nice fluffy snow last night and the scenery is magical in the forest. We are busy cleaning the snow and will be ready to open skating for 10am Please note we have a big school group tubing only so for that reason the tubing hill will only open at 1pm for the public. We are open today from 10am to 8pm for skating and tubing. Ice conditions are good to medium with a 100 foot section by the pond that took significant damage from the recent warm temperatures and is rough.

We will be closed again today due to weather. We are working hard on getting the ice ready as soon as possible. There's a good chance the front loop will be open tomorrow if we get the cold we need tonight. The back loop needs lots of work in a few spots, and we hope to open it as soon as possible.

Due to very warm weather we will be closed today to preserve conditions. Hill is very soft, and everywhere else is pure ice. We will be busy all day getting everything ready for tomorrow. With a bit of frost tonight, Tubing Hill should be ready to go for Sunday.

Tried the tubing hill this morning and it slides good and will only get better. We are open from 10am to 10pm today for the tubing only. Food truck will also be open. Unfortunately it did not get cold enough last night to flood all night and ice is just not good enough to open. With next week's forecast we are not sure yet when we'll be able to open the skating trails. The animals for the petting zoo should arrive before we open today.
With 2 snow guns working now, we are making lots of snow. We should have enough snow by tomorrow and hopefully we can get the groomer here tomorrow to work on the hill. If so, the hill should be ready to open for Saturday, just in time for the holidays.
When mother nature doesn't cooperate, you get snow made for the tubing hill. If everything goes well we might be able to open the tubing hill Saturday. The skating trail will need lots of work after the mild temperatures and all the rain we got, hopefully we can open up the skating trail between Christmas and new years.
