Thanks to everyone who helped make Apple Pie day a success - so many delicious pies donated - so much help to set up, serve and clean up - as well as all our guests! Thanks also to our younger helpers Zoe, Anna, Austin, Jess and Kaydance were served coffee etc and helped in so many ways!

Mossbank Museum will be hosting an Advanced Blacksmith School with Don Fox on Sept 16 and 17. The cost will be $300 per person and that includes meals and materials for the two days. For questions or to register please call or text 306-354-7469

So exciting to hear how well things went on Apple Pie Day in-spite of the weather. Thanks so much to everyone who helped in so many ways-pies, serving, set up and clean up, attending and buying pies and our local Cat Country! We appreciate our community and all you do! This beautiful raffle basket is on display in the Ambroz House at the Museum. Please see one of our hardworking students to purchase a ticket for $5. The draw will be made September 1, & all proceeds are directed to replacing the flooring and other repairs in the Ardill School Building.

Town of Mossbank

Ardill School
We have good news and bad news to share about our Ardill School Project! Our plan was to rip out all that awful carpet and lay a new vinyl tile floor. We, and by we I am referring to our awesome students, Kaydance, Dasha, Jessica, and Laurel, have torn out all the carpeting and have the floor stripped down to the original red and white tiles. The tiles scared us a little bit, but we had all the carpet, foam, glue and tiles tested for asbestos with NEGATIVE results. Next we called in Kenny Ray for his advice on completing our project.
Bad/Good news! Our beloved Ardill School floor is slowly rotting but we have managed to save it. As it turns out, an improperly prepared dirt crawl space with no ventilation is the cause of our problem. (It always smelled musty!)
Kenny Ray and Company will be getting this corrected for us next week and we should have our new flooring installed before Apple Pie Day!
