🇨🇦 Dear Canadian Friends:

Celebrating this long weekend? Sweet kitty has a message for all the animal lovers and nature protectors out there. Make this holiday weekend celebration helpful not harmful to folks, pets and wildlife.

Consider putting down the fireworks. Instead, if you are able, donate to an animal shelter, local food bank or rehabber. Light a memorial candle for a loved one. Blow bubbles or share a sparkler or two. Be creative, not noisy. Fireworks cause damaging light pollution in the night sky, and the unnatural bangs, and high pitch blasts are so frightening & disruptive to nature, other people, and family pets.

The risk of forest fires, and by-product littering is also a great threat. Baby season is here for many animals too.
Please be kind. Say no to fireworks.
