Whew! I think Ernesto brought some good surfing tho!

Today, we're thankful that Hurricane Ernesto veered off it's original consensus; and remained south of Nova Scotia. The initial trajectory of the storm suggested the potential for direct impacts on the Maritime region, which could have brought significant damage and disruption.

Instead, Ernesto stayed offshore, sparing parts of the Maritimes from the hurricanes powerful effects. It was a closer call for Newfoundland, though they remained out of the storms direct path.

This fortunate turn of events highlights the unpredictable nature of hurricanes and the importance of preparedness. It also highlights the importance to use caution when investing in forecasts over a week away.

Hurricane season continues, peak next month.
