It was only a matter of time that walking would be replaced with wheels, motorized of course. MotoSamoa to the rescue.
Yesterday was spent touring the east end of the Upolo, the South Island. Fabulous feeling of freedom that riding brings was enhanced by tropical scenery and incredibly friendly people.
This morning headed west to the ferry terminal to jump on a boat to Savai’i, the North Island. Will see how far I get along the ring road and then start looking for a beach Fale for the night.
Tomorrow I will complete circumnavigating Savai’i and then catch the afternoon ferry back to Upolo, finishing off with back roads on the West End back to Apia and the boat.

Day 1 192 NM, 2000+ more to go to Samoa. If all goes well transiting ITCZ should be there in 11-12 days. VERY comfortable boat so not suffering at all.
