RCMP NL current officers and Veterans were proudly on Parade today for the Interment of the Unknown Soldier and the annual Memorial Day service in St. John’s.

Six RCMP NL Officers were entrusted to stand sentry during the Lying in State of the Unknown NL Soldier on Saturday, June 29th and Sunday June 30th, along with the units from the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.

We are honoured to provide our services and to participate in this momentous occasion for Canada and for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

“Some day on clothes”.

It’s not often I get a chance to line dry bed linens for but today is the day. My husband even made the clothesline just like my Nan, Marie, used to have.

The singing birds and light breeze make for a pretty perfect summer’s day.
