Swipe 🐢to see how TINY the two of these little snapping turtles crossing the road were! On the last slide, you’ll see an adult, and I have yet to meet anyone who can take a selfie while picking up one of those 😂 that’s three turtles assisted across the SAME road in the last couple of weeks in .on.the.lake !
Every June…
-keep an extra keen eye out on turtles crossing the road
-only handle the turtles if you are comfortable doing so. If not, assist them across the road in the direction they appear to be heading with a gentle shoe to the backside. Little ones can’t hurt you!
-be traffic aware, and tell others to CARE!

From yesterday’s tour on Father’s Day with guests from the amazing ! We enjoyed a stunning morning in the canyon of Rockway Falls, learned about (and even munched on!) local plants, saw snakes and salamanders, and shared some great laughs! Great company and great ecosystems are my favourite combo 🤟🌎🥾

I know Father’s Day was yesterday- but I forgot to post, because I was busy having a cold one on “the beach” we created in the backyard! Thanks for the golfing, fishing, laughing and life lessons over the years “Coach Moe”! Thanks for being an amazing father and friend all at once. Cheers to all of the other dads out there 🍻

From this past Saturday- Grandmother and grandson enjoying the ultra scenic and family friendly Shorthills Provincial Park with me! We saw and heard it all- deer, frogs, salamanders, a waterfall and so much more! All within a casual 2.5 hours!

This quiet creek is remarkable in terms of bird and fish life, and is one of Niagara’s cleanest creek systems! We paddled past a beaver lodge and nationally rare trees with ease 👌🌊🇨🇦
