A rarely seen look at the southwest face of Elliott Peak and the multicolored ridge that connects to Bridge Peak. Elliott Peak is 2873m high and towers over Abraham Lake. ⛰️

🌲Nature's Power on Display🔥
Although Nordegg and its surrounding communities were never threatened by the Wapiabi and Ram fires, the natural beauty and power on display last week were absolutely breathtaking!
Thanks to 3 days of heavy rain and cooler temps, the fires have significantly reduced, and the skies are now clear of smoke. 🌞
A huge thank you to the firefighters and personnel working tirelessly in Alberta to keep us safe! 🙏

Mt Frank is the peak located at the end of Whirlpool Ridge. It stands alone and gives you incredible views in all directions. Does anyone know the name of the lake it overlooks? 🤔

Last week we finally got to check out the brand new trails on Black Mountain. Many, many thanks to NORCA - Nordegg Offroad Cycling Association and the trail builders for their incredible work on this project. It's quite a ride up the future shuttle road and the views from the top are amazing (as are the wildflowers right now 🌸)! We can't wait to see the entire trail network completed!! 🚴♀️

Crescent Falls is now open!! 🥳
After over a year of closure for construction, Crescent Falls PRA has finally reopened and the upgrades look fantastic! The 60mm+ of rain we just got made the grand reopening quite spectacular. Witnessing the raw power of the falls in spring flood is always such a treat! 💦

The Brazeau Collieries Historic Mine Site from the sky! We weren't sure which one to post, so you get two. Which one do you prefer? ⛏️
We highly recommend taking a tour of the mine site with Clearwater County if you haven't yet. Tours start daily at 10am and 2pm (except Tuesdays) from the Nordegg Discovery Centre. And while you're there, make sure to check out the awesome redesigned exhibit (which has the cutest play area for those of you with little ones)!

Perched high above on Allstones Peak (not to be confused with Allstones Ridge). One of the biggest and hardest routes in our scrambling book, it is for people who enjoy a serious challenge. The first ridge way down on the right is Vision Quest for reference! 🏔
