On April 8th, C-Tow will dim the lights briefly to commemorate 40 years of serving Canadian boaters!

As we mark this milestone having assisted over 50,000 boaters, a remarkable event awaits.

After experiencing a leap year, we now anticipate an extraordinary occurrence - a total darkness of 4 minutes and 28 seconds in selected regions.

Across Canada, the solar eclipse's path will sweep through different cities and towns in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland, momentarily enveloping them in darkness. Those not within the path of totality will witness a partial solar eclipse, where the Sun remains partly visible. What an incredible chance to witness this celestial phenomenon!

The last instance of a total solar eclipse crossing over Canadian territories was in 1979!

Please note that looking directly at the Sun can lead to severe consequences, including partial or total blindness. Ensure you use appropriate eye protection.
