@Mikeformayornorthvancouver
Well folks, it's all coming down to the next few days....and I couldn't be more proud to call myself part of the community that is the City of North Vancouver.
I want to take a minute to thank everyone who's reached out and supported me, educated me on the issues, taken time to introduce me to their friends and family and to everyone who's already voted and will be voting tomorrow.
You are the reason I am doing this. If I am chosen to be mayor of this great city I promise to you that I will bring an energy and passion to city that's never been seen before.
We can do this, but we can't do it divided. Lets all work together for the people, the community and the planet. Let's make 2018 the start of something special.
On October 20th, vote for a sustainable North Vancouver, VOTE Mike For Mayor!!!!

Cannabis: Centennial Theater Mayors Debate 20181015
Hello there!
So the good news is that it's one day after legalization in the City of North Vancouver and the world hasn't collapsed!
The bad news is that there is only one dispensary left on the entire North Shore and that's the Herban Art Collective. An independent, locally owned and operated small business and a part of the culture of the City of North Vancouver
The current city council has done an incredibly poor job of planning for legalization. Instead of having interim business licenses available for the active dispensaries, they decided to take them all to court and bully both business and property owners into submission.
These local businesses have invested thousands of dollars into their operations, employ and support local community members and over time have become integrated into the community in an incredibly POSITIVE way. These dispensaries have been open and publicly engaging the community for over 3 years and actively bring in outside money in the form of tourism dollars to the entire business community.
I consume cannabis.I support the cannabis industry.
I support cannabis consumers.
If you do too, vote Mike For Mayor and let's start supporting people instead of treating them like criminals.
Q1. Traffic, Parking and Planning
Videos from last night's mayors debate at Centennial Theatre are starting to come in now! I'll post them as I get them!
Thanks to everyone at Centennial Theatre for putting on a great event, the candidates for being cordial and debating each other respectfully and thank you to the citizens of the City of North Vancouver for coming out and getting edcuated on the candidates and the facts!
Q. As our city's population grows, traffic and parking needs will grow as well. How do you plan to work with city planners to address the needs of city residents?
Thank YOU!
This is the last push until the actual election on October 20th! Thanks to all candidates, supporters, community members and concerned citizens for doing your part. Get involved, ask tough questions, say no to slates and demand independance from your elected officials.
On october 20th vote Mike For Mayor!!
Taking an Ohm Electric Bicycle for a ride to Harry Jerome
Yesterday I had the incredible opportunity to ride one of OHM Electric Bikes through the city to get an idea of how this new and emerging technology could be beneficial to commuters throughout the City of North Vancouver.
Promoting alternative modes of transportation and electrically assisted vehicles should be something the City promotes while making all bike lanes and walking paths safer and more versatile. The future is a carbon neutral future and we need to start acting now!
The good news is that I was able to make my speaking engagement at Harry Jerome Recreation Centre as it only take about 12-14 minutes from Habourside all the way up to 23rd. I had an absolute blast making my way through the city and honestly felt as though this new technology could be a game changer for a lot fo people. Those hills were nothing will a little electrical assistance!
The bad news is that I found out that even though the new Harry Jerome facility design is not finalized (which allows us to change the design of the facility to better represent the needs of the community) the land adjacent to the current Harry Jerome facility itself has already been signed over to the developers on a 99 year lease. So that means even if we wanted to just tear down the old Harry Jerome Center and build a brand new one in the same foot print (which many local community members support) the community will be losing yet another parcel of land to developers. Meaning we would have to fight developers to get access to our land back.
Does that sound like a smart decision to you? Because it sure doesn't sound like one to me.
On October 20th vote for a sustainable community where your elected officials don't siphon off your public community land in order to turn a quick buck for themselves. Vote @Mike For Mayor !!!!
