/ benefit plans! The foundation of my clinical practice relies on evidence-based medicine to guide the care provided to many patients and their families. My clinical interest focuses on overcoming barriers to increasing breastfeeding rates and longevity among ethnic families. In a clinical setting, I work closely with patients to customize a care plan that works for their lifestyle to ensure that families are empowered with education and evidence-based therapeutic interventions that lead to successful clinical outcomes. When working with families who experience challenges related to health and wellness, I firmly believe that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

🙋‍♀️Will my ears be red and sore post-piercing? This photo was taken minutes after the piercing. Some redness is common and subsides shortly after the appointment.🙌

🥳Late post as we celebrated nurse practitioner week last week. One thing about nurses, is that we really do impact people’s lives in so many positive ways.🙌

🙏🏼As always, I’m forever appreciative of everyone for your kind words and support!💕Special thanks to my fellow nurses and physicians who always show some love!❤️

📚I’ve been visiting a few universities these past few weeks as my daughter considers post-secondary options and of course I had to stop by the nursing schools to check out the advanced nursing labs. Wow!🤩 Nursing students have access to highly advanced lab experiences that simulate real-life patients.💯We’ve definitely come a long way from practising injections on pieces of fruit!😂

🙌🏼Another great treatment result within a few days! Not only did this little one’s eczema patch on her cheek improve, but her SLEEP also IMPROVED!💤😴Definitely a win-win for everyone!👏🏼

💕I met this family years ago while they were visiting from Cayman Islands. At the time, big sister got her ears pierced. Recently, they returned for another visit to have me pierce little sister’s ears. It’s always great seeing families come back with younger siblings!🙏🏼🎉

👯‍♀️Grandpa also joined in on this special day with his lovely and super-brave grand-daughters. We had a blast with lots of laughs…thanks for the loyalty and love! 💕

⚠️Mall shop correction!⚠️

🔎This little girl was pierced a few years ago and unfortunately the left piercing was placed way too low. Look closely and you can see the original piercing. The right ear was placed higher on the lobe and instead of correcting both, the client chose to repierce the left ear to match.

💡This was the result of piercing both ears at the same time which is always a bad idea. Why? Most professionals aren’t trained to use their non-dominant hand (trust me, you wouldn’t want me to use my left hand for any procedures or piercings when needles and sharp blades are involved!😉) AND you want to be able to see exactly what you’re doing for each piercing. This is impossible when you’re doing two piercings at once. The more you know, right?✅

👍I corrected this to match the right ear and mom was very happy with the result! Fortunately, there was no scar tissue and we placed the correction strategically so that it will never interfere or become an issue with the original piercing.🙌🏼
