Stroll down to the beach and watch the fishing boats come and go at the busy wharf. See whales and icebergs in season off the breathtakingly rugged coast. Discover the endless web of hiking trails through woods and meadows. Take a day trip up the coast to see the historic stone walls of Grates Cove. In the evening, sit around the fire and listen to the loons in the distance. Love to entertain? Bring your instruments and enjoy the beautiful acoustics. Love to cook? EXCITING NEWS!

We are having a 'HANG OUT'! on Saturday, August 21st.

We welcome all residents of the area to get their beautiful quilts out on the lines! Show off your quilts, your story quilts, and quilts to sell!
If you are not from the area and would like to display and/or sell your quilts, get in touch by messenger. We have a limited number of clotheslines available for friends from outside the community.

What a great opportunity to visit the area and enjoy a stroll through the towns, visit local historic and heritage sites, take one of the amazing hikes, have a picnic by the sea from one of our local restaurants, or stay the weekend at a local B&B.

There will be more details to come, but for now... save the date for the Festival of Quilts 'HANG OUT' in Bay de Verde, Red Head Cove and Grates Cove. It's going to be a great day, we are looking forward to seeing you!
Thanks for keeping Newfoundland and Labrador safe and making it possible to have this event. This event will be entirely outdoors, and we will be following all safety protocols and procedures.

Picture perfect at 6 am in Burnt Point this Thursday summer morning, looking down the Conception Bay North stunning coastline as the sunrise, the amazing cloud formation, the beautiful ocean contrasted by the rolling fields of grass, the old fence post and the wild flowers show outport Newfoundland beauty at its finest.
