As of Sept 10 (today!), guests at Magic Kingdom can now ride Tron as many times as they like….the standby line is now available!
Don’t want to wait in line?
You can still purchase a Single Pass Lightning Lane as well.
WDW Virtual Queues:
At 7am and 1pm, guests can now reserve a VQ at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (MK) and at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT).
VQ’s are no longer offered at Tron! This is great news for those who want to be in control of the time they ride at….or if you want to ride more than once!
Sure, you come to WDW for the rides, the spectacular shows, the characters, and those classic Disney moments you’ve been dreaming of. But, did you know that some of the BEST times ahead don’t need a park ticket?
Here’s my top 5 ways to spend a relaxing and rejuvenating day, no ticket required!
1. Pool day: sleep in, and take full advantage of the themed pools at your resort! Every WDW has multiple pools, and spending the day poolside is the perfect way to truly relax (and to give your feet a break!). Need a break from the water? Enjoy the other fun activities poolside like trivia, tie dye shirt making, and movies on the big screen, or hang out in the arcade.
2. Resort hop! Every resort is open to explorers, so hop on to a bus, a boat, the monorail or the Skyliner and explore other resorts! You can even plan to enjoy a meal or a snack while out exploring….and choose where you might want to stay next time!
3. Disney Springs: packed full of shops, dining, entertainment….Disney Springs is relaxing and chill, and is a great place to spend a few hours. Don’t miss the cookies at Gideon’s, the Lego Store, and the massive World of Disney store!
4. Special dining: a rest day is the perfect time to enjoy a special non-park dining experience. Think, Storybook Dining at Wilderness Lodge, Ohana at the Polynesian, or for the little who need more time with Mickey, Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary.
5. Waterpark or Mini-golf: did you know if you book a resort package, you get free passes to play a round of mini golf? With two different courses, it’s a great place for some low key outdoor time. Or, enjoy a few hours at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon (usually just one is open at a time)….floating the lazy river or screaming down the slides! Waterpark passes are a great deal of added to your park pass in advance, so if you think you want to have a waterpark day, planning ahead for it is a great deal!
How do you spend a perfect day outside of the parks
Never been to Walt Disney World? Here’s WDW’s highlights in one quick minute!
🌟 30,000 acres of fun (vs Disneyland’s 500 acres)
🌟 25+ resorts
🌟 200+ dining options
🌟 4 theme parks, 2 waterparks, mini golf/shopping/archery/golf/fishing and MORE
No matter how many times you visit, there will always be something new to do for the first time. So what do ya say? Ready to explore the most Magical Place on Earth?
Be sure to follow along as I spend late August exploring the resorts and parks of Walt Disney World!
Staying in the Disney bubble is part of the experience (and that includes letting WDW transportation get me from resort to park, all day, all vacation long.
I love the on-resort experience at WDW - it feels like a true escape, which you don’t get to experience if you stay off property and have to battle Orlando area traffic!
A family vacation to Europe is definitely a bucket-list experience that I can’t wait to take my family on — but the idea of hauling multiple suitcases on planes, trains and boats seems daunting.
So when I discovered that Disney Cruise Line offers a multitude of voyages within Europe — ranging from short 3 and 4 day experiences (perfect to tack onto a longer land-based vacation….like a week in France 🇫🇷 including Disneyland Paris, perhaps?) to full 7, 9 or 12 day exploration of the Norwegian Fjords or the Greek Isles…..it’s truly a dream come true.
Curious about what the port visits are like? Leave it to Disney to come up with shore excursions suitable for the whole family. And if the grown ups want to see something that the littles wouldn’t enjoy? The fully staffed kids clubs remain open on board, in case the adults want to explore a little sans kiddos.
I love the idea that we would only have to unpack once - and that we’d enjoy those cushy Disney Cruise Line staterooms every night (no more questionable European pensions), with the same dining, fun, and amenities that are offered on the more typical Caribbean or Alaskan itineraries.
While doing the grand European Adventure might be on our list when the kids are older (and can handle their own bags) 🧳 I’m dreaming of a European cruise with my family….I think it would be the perfect ticket to introducing them to overseas adventures.
Have you ever taken a European cruise? Or would you? Drop your dream European destination in the comments so we can dream together!
🌟 BOOK EARLY!! 🌟
The earlier you book, the better chance you have of getting your choice of resort, room type, bed configuration, and dates.
Disney resorts are not like airlines….you aren’t going to one day wake up to a random low price. So just go ahead and book what works for your dates & your budget first). That is step one and guarantees you the current lowest price. That standard room available today for $250 a night might be gone in a week, leaving only Deluxe rooms for $450. See what I mean?
BUT — here’s where the savings come in — sometimes Disney will release REALLY great offers — and even if you are already booked, we can apply this new offer to your already booked package (as long as it is applicable of course). And as a travel agent, I work hard to make sure all of my booked guests are getting any savings that apply!
This means that the price you book at is the MOST you will ever pay, but there is a chance that you might actually get some savings applied later in!
Yes, even if ticket prices go up, if you booked a package you are locked in at the original price!
Packages only need a $200 deposit and once booked they can be adjusted if needed.
Hit me up if you’re ready to get a Disney vacation set on your calendar!

You’ve arrived! You’re excited, you’ve been travelling all day…..now what?
Here’s my fave suggestions for how to spend arrival day.
🌟 If you can check into your hotel, great! Drop off your bags, freshen up….maybe even take a quick swim! And if your room isn’t ready yet, your hotel will happily hold your bags at Bell Services. So drop off those bags and let the vacation begin!
🌟Head over to Disneyland Resort! Yes, you will go thru security….and then all of Downtown Disney is there for you to explore!
🌟if you want to buy a Magicband+ or a pair of Minnie Ears, today is a perfect time to do this! World of Disney is the biggest shop with the best selection.
🌟 Explore the Disneyland Hotwl, Grand Californian Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. They are all open to the public and have beautiful, unique touches to explore even if you aren’t staying overnight there. All three have restaurants too (my fave is Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel, with drinks next door at Trader Sam’s!)
🌟 Wanting to have some breakfast or snack foods in your room? Placing an Instacart order is quick and easy, and they will deliver right to your hotel lobby.
🌟Did you get those MagicBands? Don’t forget they bed to be charged and paired to your phone, so best to do that the night before!
🌟 Grab a screenshot of your park tickets - in case your phone app is glitchy, having your party’s tickets at the ready (on more than one device!) is smart.
🌟 Open the Disneyland app and confirm park hours, parade and nighttime spectacular times, etc. having a loose idea for your day is always wise!
🌟 Have an idea of which foods you might want to try? I like to make a few notes in my phone’s “notes” app. That way when hunger strikes, I have a list ready to go of foods I am wanting to try….this is the best way to make sure you get what’s on your wish list!
🌟 Unpack….and get some rest. Head to bed early tonight so you can be up ear
We all know the feeling, when the Disney blues hit before your trip is even over.

Let’s tour our verandah stateroom on the Ruby Princess - all set up for 4 people. Now, this is the real life, mid-cruise stateroom tour — reality for a family of 4! We have lots of clothes, toiletries, kids crafts from the kids club….and our luxurious king size bed is split into two twins to allow for the upper bunk to be set up. Plus, we have a rollaway bed for our 4th guest. It is cozy but comfortable.
I couldn’t find any photos of how this stateroom arrangement works in real life, so if this is helpful for you, please give this post a like!

Want to beat the crowds?
Rope drop is the best way to get ahead of the herd.
Simply be AT the park before it opens, and you will be let in a bit early. Most park goers start to show up around 10 or so, so the first few hours are a pure joy.
You still need a solid gameplan, so choose one of the rides shown here for the best bang-for-your-early-wake up buck!

Getting those steps in is no problem on a day in the parks - and when your feet are ready for a break, there are a number of attractions that are long enough to count as a break.
🦁Tale of The Lion King is the longest show at the Disneyland Resort, lasting a whopping 25 minutes! Plus, it is outdoors so enjoying a snack is not only permitted….it is encouraged!
🇺🇸Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is an indoor, air conditioned attraction that is equal parts educational, entertaining, and restful.
🏴☠️Pirates of the Caribbean is many guests favourite attraction in the park - this swashbuckling adventure is a Disneyland classic, and your feet will love the good amount of time seated on your boat.
🎎Whether it’s a love or a pass, it’s a Small World is a Disneyland original…. Be sure to check out all the cute Disney characters hidden amongst the classic dolls!
🦜The Enchanted Tiki Room is part attraction, part show….and is a perfect spot to enjoy a Dole Whip inside while watching.
⛴️Mark Twain Riverboat: did you know that gorgeous white riverboat is an attraction? Hop aboard for a cruise down the Rivers of America.
And saving the best break for last, this attraction has no limit to how long you can ride. 🚂The Disneyland Railroad travels in a continuous circle, so hop aboard (bring a snack!) and stay on as long as you like.
Which attraction break would you plan for your after-lunch sleepy time?
