Congratulations, mom! Welcome baby!

Gorilla baby news!

We have a new baby mountain gorilla born to adult female Munini of the Nshongi gorilla group of Rushaga in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on 8th August 2024.

This new birth brings the total number of individuals in this family to 14 under the able leadership of silverback Bweza.

This is Munini’s 4th baby, having given birth to Raha in 2012 (who is now a handsome blackback) as well as Bayenza and Kijumwa in 2017 and 2021 respectively.

Please leave a congratulatory message for Munini and the Nshongi family below.

Where are they?
The migration is on the way north and passed through the area called Seronera (central Serengeti).

Not much longer and they will enter the northern part of the Serengeti, and some will eventually cross into Kenya's Masai Mara. The Migration will reside in Tanzania's Kogatende area of the Serengeti until late September and even into October, but the rains will tell ....

Beautiful life giving rain in Africa!

The adventure of today. Watching a family of elephants come to the water hole. We are safely hidden away at eye level to get all the intricate details. Skip forward to about 1 minute and you'll see them come really close! I can't say that I've done this before. What an experience! Thank you Imvelo Safari Lodges for hosting us for two nights at you properties in Hwange National Park

The hunter becomes the hunted. Or was s/he just hiding behind what s/he thought was a big rock? 🦛😁

Lions, a popular sight during every safari. Most of the time we see them sleeping 😴😴😴, but sometimes amazing things happen and a pride will do what they do best. Hunting!

The water levels of Mara River in Serengeti's Northern part have risen due to some rain in the Lobo area. Wildebeest are making their way back to the central Serengeti, some have already arrived and spread across the savannah there. Crossing the river is now more challenging due to the currents and what lurks under the murky surface.

Incredible river crossing witnessed by our guests who are currently in Tanzania on safari. As a family of 5, they enjoyed camping in the Serengeti and safari across the Northern Park Circuit. They will now move on to Zanzibar for some time at the beach. Here is what they had to say so far: "Our camping was 100% the right choice for us. It was so peaceful, and so wonderful to be in the middle of nowhere with the animals howling around us. Nerick is taking great care of us and giving us so much information ! Bright, Wilson and Amani were fantastic crew while camping. We really enjoying spending time with them."
