It is with profound sadness that we learned this morning of the passing of a good friend, Bill Robertson.
Many of you who have journeyed with us in the past certainly have fond memories of Bill.
A better ambassador for Okotoks was nowhere to be found.
From flying the Okotoks flag from the stern of our chartered river ship along the Mekong River, to teaching a group of students in Cambodia about Okotoks and Canada, to leading a group of school kids in Vietnam in the singing of Oh Canada to handing out Okotoks lapel pins to strangers in Peru – Bill was one of a kind.
That I will miss my friend is an understatement.
That our town has a gaping hole is a given.
Rest in Peace Bill – you fought the fight and those of us who were privileged to spend time with you are the better for having been a part of your life.
Until we meet again.
