Bruce with a few nice ones he had during his stay, thanks for the pictures!
A remote fishing experience. Located on Swain Lake on the Woman River system, with many portages. We have boats on 11 different portages (listed on our website).
Swain Post is a boat in Fishing Camp in Ontario Canada where you can get away from phone calls, texts, and emails, just relax and go fishing. Peace and quiet, good fishing, beautiful country, remote, secluded location. Swain Post Camp is located on Swain Lake, both being named after an early fur trader who operated from what is now our camp. We are centrally located between the Woman Lake, Washago
mis and Shabumeni lake systems in the Red Lake, Ear Falls area. We pick you up at our landing and boat you 35 miles up the Woman Lake System to Swain Lake. Once there you have no choice but to relax, unwind and enjoy seven days of fishing for walleye, northern or lake trout or just exploring the remote lakes and streams in our wilderness area. Lodgings at Swain Post are native built log cabins, completely furnished for housekeeping with gas stove, refrigerator, bed linen and blankets, all eating and cooking utensils, solar lights and wood burning stove. The camp also has a central hot water shower and out houses behind each cabin. You furnish your own groceries and fishing equipment, we provide boats motors and gas, (5 US gallons per 2 people per day). Please have your fishing license and bait before arriving at the landing as we do not sell either. Please visit our website www.swainpostcamp.com for pricing or email us at [email protected] for more info.

Hard to believe you've been gone a year today, it seems like a lifetime ago and yesterday all at the same time. I been lost since you had to go and I'm tryin to find my way but there aint no map or compass that shows where to go. I'll know when I see your beautiful smile again, I made it home.
Better times...Hard to believe that was four years ago today. Miss that beautiful woman every minute of the day!
Went to one of Jess and my favorite spots today and thought i would share, figured everyone could use some peace.
Another beautiful sunrise here at camp! 36 degrees this morning, it's starting to feel like fall but still plenty of fish to be caught and work to be done.
The improved Shabumeni dock + Buck and Arby. A couple weeks late but better than never.
Nice scenery to top off the day, Hank and I caught supper on Shab in about 10 minutes.
A beautiful view of Swain Lake from the main dock tonight. Fishing has been better than great the last few weeks. The clouds are starting to move in for the evening. Only thing that would make it a better night would to be sitting on the dock with my sweetheart watching the storm roll in. I hope we're making you proud, we miss you my dear!
A couple pictures of the dock on Shabumeni, need hip waders to get to it. Finally got the floating at camp dock put back in place on Friday after having them ripped out by the high water and ice this spring.... it got ripped right back out on Sunday by a 50 mph wind as well as uprooted a few trees in the yard and taking the roofing off a couple the buildings. Shaping up to be a great summer so far!
Here are the latest requirements to enter Canada this summer from comrade Trudeau...

I hate to be the bearer of horrible news but I don't think I can bear another phone call, email, letter or text asking how Jess is doing so here goes. My beautiful wife, partner, best friend, mother of our two amazing boys, and the best half of the Swain Post team, Jessica Ann, passed away just after Thanksgiving. Her breast cancer returned last June and had spread to her brain, bones, spine and every organ in her body by the time it was discovered. She battled with the courage and strength of an army. She fought like a warrior to keep living the life we both loved and stay with our boys and I as long as she could. Her courage, kindness, and friendship was and will continue to be an inspiration to many. We had discussed years ago that should something happen to either one of us that the other keep running the camp as long and as best they could, that is my intention and was her wish.
Canada announced that its land borders with the United States will remain largely closed for a 16th straight month.
If you have June reservations you will be hearing from us soon :(

CTV News has learned that the Canada-U.S. border will remain closed to non-essential travel for at least another month, just days before the current agreement was set to expire.
