This is a great article from Travel Press and Intrepid about travel and the impact after the voting down in the US. Please give it a read.

Fall travel reminders if you’re taking a trip this cozy season.
📌 Bookmark so you don’t lose track of this!

🍁 Double-check for seasonal closures: Some attractions and businesses may close or reduce hours after summer, so make sure you check ahead of time to avoid any disappointments.

🍁 Be ready for the weather: Depending on where you’re going, don’t forget to pack for chilly evenings and rain.

🍁 Don’t forget about harvest season: It may not be the reason you’re traveling specifically, but don’t forget to add those local farms, orchards, or vineyards to your itinerary!

🍁 Beware of the foliage crowds: Popular leaf-peeping spots can get really crowded, so plan ahead, arrive early, or hunt for those lesser-known spots.

🍁 Take advantage of shoulder season perks: As tourism slows after the summer rush, make sure you’re taking advantage of lower prices, special deals, and more personalized service at hotels, resorts, and tours.

🍁 Remember that days are shorter: Daylight saving time is around the corner, and daylight hours are shorter. This may impact how you put together your itinerary.

➡️ And the ultimate fall travel hack?

Working with a travel advisor who‘s got your back (and your itinerary) covered.

Remember, my DMs are always open to any and all of your travel questions.

10 pictures isn’t enough for this hotel! is a beautiful property 20 mins from the San Jose airport and is full of lush gardens, walking paths, beautiful rooms and a serene spa! When we arrived we were hit with a crazy downpour so I didn’t get a chance to walk to the 5 waterfalls, so I will have to come back and to try a few of their spa services. The pools however were lovely and had gorgeous views of San Jose.

We were able to do a coffee tour at just outside San Jose. They provided a fantastic tour of their coffee plantation and talked about their process that dates back the late 1800s. They hire Nicaraguan workers to pick the coffee and provide their families with lodging, daycare, subsidized groceries and still pay them per unit picked. I highly recommend this tour if you love coffee as much as I do. I learned so much!

We left the Osa Peninsula and flew on from Puerto Jiminez back to San Jose. The flight was about 40 mins and during rainy season, it’s best to fly in the morning before the storms move in. Thankfully our flight was smooth and not too cloudy that we could see the Osa Peninsula from above. If you were to drive, this would have taken 8hrs so this is a great option.

We were invited over to to walk around their beautiful property, see their rooms and have a delicious lunch. This lodge is only accessible by boat (we came over from Puerto Jimenez) and we were welcomed with delicious drinks and big smiles. This is a perfect place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature. You can snorkel off the beach, take yoga classes on their platform bordering the jungle and ocean and go for hikes. I could definitely spend a few days here. How about you?

Yesterday we had a fantastic farm tour and cooking class with . We ground our own coffee and cocoa beans and helped to make chocolate cookies and plantain ceviche. We then went on a short walk to see the various farm animals as well@as learn about the herbs and plants they use in their cooking and for daily health. We even saw some vanilla orchids which they also make here. After the walk we had a delicious lunch from what we made as well as some fresh tortillas and delicious fish before we had to say good bye and make the long drive down into the Osa Peninsula to check into our next hotel.
Fantastic excursion and delicious food!!!

Last night we checked into a rustic hotel called Punta Leona. You are in the rainforest with scarlet macaws flying over and many other birds and sounds. We didn’t see any monkeys this time but they are around apparently.
The grounds are lush and a short walk to a beach and pool. We headed over to Playa Blanca and found a baby green sea turtle trying to make his way to the ocean❤️
Next stop was for some zip lining! If you know me, I don’t do heights but today I went outside my comfort zone and gave it a try and had a great time. The staff was fantastic and I was safe and had a blast! I highly recommend them! We even saw some toucans on our way up the mountain!

Landed in San Jose last night and checked into the beautiful Marriott Hacienda Belen. I had a beautiful newly renovated room that overlooked the pool area. This hotel has a lot of history from starting out as a fruit farm, then to***co and switching to coffee and then becoming a hotel in 1996. They still grow their own coffee and offer historical tours and coffee experiences as well as cooking classes. So much for the whole family and a great place to spend a couple of nights before continuing on your adventures.
