Shane is our VP of Eastern Canada. He started with us in November of 2015. He has worked tirelessly to develop partnerships and create opportunities that has opened doors for Northern Mat and Bridge on large scale projects. Many of these projects, were years in the making.
While he travels frequently, he is a family man who adores spending time with his wife and 3 kids.
Shane's not so secret talent? He is a true wine connoisseur.

Peter is our Eastern Canada Business Development Manager. Peter joined us in October of 2016. He works with large accounts and helps to motivate and inspire the sales staff. His continued jokester like demeanour brings many laughs and heads shaking to the office.
Peter’s role keeps him busy travelling throughout Ontario meeting with accounts, mentoring staff, and increasing our customer base and partners.
He maintains an active and healthy lifestyle, if you are looking for the latest info on holistic options, he’s the go-to person for answers and suggestions.
His favourite way to decompress is playing hockey. Many of you might not know this, but Peter represented Greece in qualifications for the Worlds in 1996 and Nagano 1998 Winter Olympics.
He has a huge weakness for Chocolate Almonds and a great steak

Mike is our Operations Manager, and started with us in 2017. He is constantly on the go handling any operational challenge in order to ensure our customer’s satisfaction.
During his time away from the office, Mike enjoys building furniture and spending time with his wife and daughter. He is the proud dad of an adorable 1-year old girl and the family will soon be expanding in June, with a new bundle of joy.
Mike enjoys a good pizza and a full coffee cup at all times.

Kyle joined NMBE in 2018. As Health & Safety Manager, he is immersed in our safety culture and continues to educate our staff on proper procedures.
When Kyle is not onboarding new hires, he can be found at client job sites helping to ensure that that we are satisfying their Health and Safety needs.
As you can see, Kyle is a huge Packers fan and truly looks forward to game day. Along with football, Kyle enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their 2-year-old dog Oliver.
His weakness? A nice prime rib dinner. His go-to drink is Diet Coke.

Northern Mat & Bridge Christmas Party was this past weekend at Hockley Valley Resort. A fun time was had by all. We recognize the challenge that this holiday can bring to some families and wanted to lighten their load and bring a smile to those in need. Each of our employees brought an unwrapped gift for donation. All donations were brought to the Dufferin Child & Family Services. Poor Matty, maybe next time, he will bring a helper for the decorating.
Sue Peterson has been with Northern Mat & Bridge since April of 2016. She started as our Admin Assistant and after much hard work and numerous night school classes is now our Human Resource Manager. She will soon have her official designation of CHRP. Her door is always open for any Northern Mat Employee.
Her generosity with others makes her a perfect fit for her passion to volunteer. She is extremely involved with the local community, helping on the Board at the Headwaters Hospital and the board for the Shelburne Fair. This year, she was proudly recognized for these efforts receiving the Community Excellence Award.
During her down time, Sue enjoys a good novel… a perfect escape from the textbooks she has been reading as of late.
Sue and her husband are anxiously awaiting the birth of their newest granddaughter. They look forward to spoiling yet another little one.
Sue is not one to be open with new cuisines, sticking to her tried and true favourites, of good roast beef or chicken dinner. Her go-to fun drink? Caesar, not too spicy

Matty seems to always hide with those Hershey Chocolates!
Jeff is our Superintendent; he is exceptionally busy visiting job sites, and scheduling crews, so that customer expectations are being met. He is in constant communication with the Operations Department so that each element of the job does not fall short.
In his spare time, Jeff is an avid skier having competed at a competitive level during his university days. After a 10-year competitive hiatus, he recently won the Caledon Ski Club championship and also coaches the Adult Ski Racing Team.
He is a proud Dad of two sons, 11 and 7 years old.
Jeff’s go to meal is Breakfast for Dinner…. And bring coffee, any day and hour of any week.

Poor Matty!! We knew he could be trusted!

Shirley is our Operations Coordinator and has been with Northern Mat & Bridge since August of 2017. Her operational background helps keep the department organized, and on task.
She is a valuable part of our Operations team, focusing on the challenging area of inventory along with reviewing each job pack for accuracy.

Shirley is an avid animal lover and has been riding horses since she was 12. She owns 3 horses, Lucy, Sophie and Savanah and looks forward to putting on her riding boots, and exploring the trails.

She is Mom to 3 adult children, 2 of which, are twin boys, and a daughter. All of which keep her entertained with their trials and tribulations.

Her weakness is a good steak, rare.... or a Starbucks Latte.

Nathalie recently joined us in October of this year. She has an extensive background in accounting which has proven to be extremely beneficial for us.
As a former Chef, Nathalie has had the chance to work in some impressive 4-star establishments, serving the who’s who of Quebec. While food remains a passion, her career went a different path and thankfully, we were fortunate to add her to our stellar accounting team.
Nathalie is not only Mom to 2 grown children, but she also remains firm that until she gets grandkids, she will spoil her 2 gigantic Maine C**n Cats. Mozart, who at 2 years old is already 32 pounds and Misty, at 20lbs.
When not processing accounting transactions, Nathalie enjoys snowmobiling, exploring the glorious snow-covered trails across Ontario and Quebec.

Oh Oh… Matty beat Mel to the Coffee Maker...

Mel has been with Northern Mat & Bridge since April 2016. She started as our A/R Administrator but with a tremendous amount of hard work, 2 years of night school, and lots of dedication, she is now our Staff Accountant. Her role is a complex one, touching many aspects of Accounts Receivable, inventory control and acting as first-line support for our controller.
If her role wasn’t enough to keep her busy, she is Mom to 3 young boys who continually keep her on her toes with their fun and crazy antics.
Mel's escape is jumping on the trampoline with her kids, it not only provides lots of laughter, a good physical workout, it also helps to build some lasting memories.
Mel's weakness is no secret… C-O-F-F-E-E, and lots of it, she adores it!

Amanda started with us last week, as our Accounts Payable Coordinator. She has a solid accounting background and we are confident she will continue to shine as one of our star employees.
When Amanda is not learning the Northern Mat & Bridge processes, she can be found either taking her 9-year-old Golden Lab, Marley on long country walks, or working hard alongside her fiancé renovating their 1950’s home.
Her favourite renovation was bringing her kitchen out of a time warp to 2019. Amanda looks forward to creating many meals in it.
With a craving for all things spicy, Amanda’s weakness is a good roti.

Ronny has been with Northern Mat & Bridge since October 2017. Along with numerous accounting functions, this numbers guy not only makes sure our staff gets paid, he also assists on financial statements. These time sensitive tasks, can be a challenge, but Ronny is always up to the task and usually has the office in stitches with his comedic demeanour.
Schooled in the art of fishery, Ronny is an avid fish lover and has several thriving aquariums of African Cichlids at home.
In addition to his many talents, Ronny is also a music lover with a penchant for playing and teaching the drums!

You best step out of the way with Matty on board!
It’s a good thing we have Liz on the job. As Northern Mat & Bridge’s Transportation & Dispatch Coordinator, she’s all over getting our Mats and Bridges where they need to be.
Liz joined our organization in July, and has proven to be a tremendous asset to our Operations Department. She deals with challenges head on, and always has the perfect solution.
When she is not immersed in transportation operations, her favourite place to unwind is in the kitchen with a mixing bowl, creating delicious baked goods, and home-style soups for her family to enjoy.
Liz, we are family too, and our soup bowl is empty.

We only hire the best!
Carmela joined us back in April of this year. Carmela is our star Administrative Assistant. While she may be a newbie, she’s a fast learner and a team player with a tremendous sense of humour.
We are not sure if she gets her endless energy from her cardio and pilates workouts before she comes to the office, or from her keeping up with her 2 kids. Either way, bring runners with you. 
Carmela’s weakness? Struggling to find Kleenex while watching “This is Us”

Looks like Matty has convinced Nicole to participate in a snowball fight!
We are proud to have such talented team members that not only take pride in their work, they bring joy and laughter to those around them.
Nicole has been with us for the past 2 ½ years, working hard in our Accounting Department. She will be moving into the new role of Service Advisor in the new year.
When she is not hiking across mountains, trails, and exploring all that nature has to offer, she is hard at work, always ready to lend a hand, with a kind word for everyone.

HE'S BACK!
Twas the days before Christmas
And all through the office
Matty arrived, keeping his promise.
The north pole was cold
and was quite a journey,
Those cold northerly winds and slushy snow, caused a slurry
He sank with each step, until magically, IT appeared
A Northern Mat access mat, erasing his fears.
He arrived, safe sound, thanks to the quality.
Now, Matty can rest and fill his belly.
He is here for good times
And to watch our behavior
He’s become the office personal savior
He is full of tricks and will leave a mess
But we couldn’t love him any less
We have so many new faces
what’s Matty to do?
He’ll TAG a victim to join him
Will it be You?
He chuckled and prodded and thought really hard…
