Today is the second and final day of sporting events. Visit our Sports webpage to find out when and where you can cheer on our athletes. Spectating is free to the public, including award ceremonies.

Middle Night invites you to discover our incredible small businesses within historic Downtown Orillia BIA. Select streets will be closed to traffic for pedestrian-friendly exploration as local businesses invite you to enjoy extended shopping and dining hours, local art, and special Games activations.

Please note, due to street closures this evening, parking will be limited in Downtown Orillia. Transportation will be provided to participants to and from Middle Night.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Orillia 2024 Ontario 55+ Winter Games!

Sporting events have kicked off bright and early this morning. All events are free for spectators, head to our sports page to find out where you can help cheer for our athletes. Today's schedules will be titled "Day 1" https://www.orillia.ca/en/visiting/sports.aspx?_mid_=28228

Tonight we celebrate Middle Night in Downtown Orillia BIA, this event is proudly presented by Sunshine Harbour Orillia. Select streets will be closed for pedestrian-friendly exploration, winter patios, and extended shopping and dining hours at our local businesses!

Participants - don't forget to grab your Middle Night Scavenger Hunt activity! We've heard there's a big prize in store for one lucky winner 😱

The City of Orillia is welcoming Her Honour the Hon. Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, during an official visit tdoay, Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024. During her official visit to the Sunshine City, Her Honour will take the opportunity to meet with Mayor Don McIsaac, Chief Ted Williams of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, local dignitaries and groups, and share in the excitement of the Orillia 2024 Ontario 55+ Winter Games.

Members of the public are invited to a reception taking place at 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the multi-purpose room at the Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.). Her Honour will deliver brief remarks and meet with local dignitaries and members of the community. Details: https://bit.ly/3vXXpiN

Tonight's Opening Ceremonies are proudly presented by OLG, an Official Partner of the Orillia 2024 Ontario 55+ Winter Games.

A participant-only event, the Opening Ceremonies will take place at two venues this evening:

The Orillia Opera House from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Featuring entertainment by Classic Lightfoot Live.

St. Paul's Orillia from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Featuring entertainment by Thompson Egbo Egbo Trio.

Participants: Your ticket will be your accreditation badge. Please note, due to select street closures this evening, parking will be limited in Downtown Orillia. Transportation will be provided to and from your assigned venue location.

We are thrilled to announce phenomenal jazz band, the Thompson Egbo Egbo Trio will be kicking off the Orillia 2024 OWG 55+ at our second Opening Ceremony event, taking place at St. Paul's Orillia.

We are honoured to feature this powerhouse trio, led by acclaimed composer and pianist Thompson Egbo-Egbo and featuring the exceptional talents of Jeff Halischuk and Randall Hall at our second Opening Ceremonies event.

This event, along with our first of two Opening Ceremonies taking place at The Orillia Opera House, is proudly presented by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, an Official Partner of the Orillia 2024 Ontario 55+ Winter Games.
