Had fun with Bobo and Thomas eating Korean homemade food and Gelato in Ottawa.

Enjoyed Libyan pastry with Turkish coffee. I even tasted special lemonade with saffron for the first time. Its taste was amazing

Today dinner: Seafood Sujebi ( #해물수제비🍲 ).
Bought abalons (was frozen, but so enough to cook and taste. I even feel gratitude, being able to eat them here in Canada) and cooked this.

is a kind of flour dough in very small pieces. We make dough and pull them off in small pieces.

One of my favorite Korean dishes is Purred soybean kimchi stew (콩비지찌개). It took me hours to peel each grain of black beans. It deserves lots of efforts to eat this healthy menu.

Made this radish watery white gimchi, called Dongchimi. Just wait for a week to get fermented enough.😍😋👍

Then we can enjoy with noodles or just soup with rice.
I used to drink this whenever i have a tummy ache when i was a kid in Korea.

Found this vegetable "the stem of garlic" in T&T market. Cooked in two ways; in soy sauce and in a spicy chili paste sauce. I haven't eaten this for 2 years. These dishes are very popular in Korea. I even enjoyed the raw ones dipping in bean paste sauce, eating with pork (samgyeopsal).

Made korean traditional noodles in hot vegetable broth. (잔치국수; janchi guksu - festival noodles)
We usually serve on birthdays and special festival days, which means live long life, because its length is long as we all know.

Made rice cake with lots of nuts.😋😍😄😍👍
This rice cake is my comfort food. I used to eat it as my snack when I was pregnant.
I was able to find the main ingredient, "glutinous rice flour" in Ottawa.
So happy to eat this dish here.

Finally I made my first Gamjatang (spicy pork stew with potatoes). I have been so craving this since I moved in Canada. But couldn't find a few ingredients. Luckily I was able to find two ones; dried radish leaves and sesame leaves. So yummmmmmm😍😍😍😋😋😋

Korean Tdeok-galbi (kind of beef stake shaped rice cake).
It's one of my favorite dishes. So soft and flavor.... If you visit korea, you should try this dish.
Specially Damyang is vary famouse for this menu.

There is a family restaurant (franchise), called Ashley in Korea. Due to Pandemic, they now do home delivery service. These are their menu.

We used to have school parties there with our students. Miss their food.
