Happy Halloween from where it all began!

Did you know Halloween originated in Ireland? It dates back to the Celtic festival of Samhain, which originated from an ancient Celtic tradition. It's a time where the Celts welcomed the dark half of the year, falling right between the fall equinox and the winter solstice. At this time, the Celts believed that barriers between other worlds and the one in which they were living were removed, so people would leave offerings out for the fairies and other mythical visitors. People would gather to honour their ancestors, and leave out Jack o' lanterns (carved out of turnips) to ward off evil spirits and monsters from the other world!

Here we go again. Regrettably, the Travel and Tourism industry has been dealt a blow with yesterday's announcement regarding the failure of Calgary-based Lynx Airlines. (Read the story here). It is certainly not the first and will likely not be the last.

Yesterday, we had the chance to compare our smallest and largest ships. Icon is more than THREE times the size of Vision. Looks like Vision can almost fit inside Central Park!
