Join the Public Investigation at the Historic SDG Jail, on the eve of Halloween at home. In 1879 Clark Brown a young son of a farmer murdered is father and sister with an Axe in Wi******er, Ontario, Canada. His mother Lydia and implicated in the crime but it was never proven. Around 11pm on this day Clark Brown climbed the scaffold at the Historic SDG Jail and was buried in yard. The recorded ex*****on time was just after midnight on Halloween October 31st 1879, due to daylight savings time not implemented in the 19th century it would be just after 11pm tonight. On this day in 1879, 21 year old Clark Brown was spending his last hours of life at the Historic SDG Jail in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. On September 2, 1879 he murdered his Sister Ada and father Robert with an axe. He first said it was a stranger who entered the home but he eventually confessed. He was executed just after midnight and launched into eternity in the first hour of Halloween. He was buried in the Jail yard. His mother Lydia was tried after his death as an accomplice but the charge did not stick, years later Lydia took her own life on the anniversary of the murders. Special public investigation tonight, will activity increase on this anniversary? Due to Daylight savings time, the moment of Clark Brown's ex*****on is just after 11pm this evening. Built in 1830 by John Baird the Mill of Kintail holds a history in spiritualism dating back to the 1930s when Robert Tate McKenzie and his wife Ethel purchased the Mill to renovate it to their summer home, a nature escape. Canadians such as William Lyon Mackenzie King, Sir Robert Borden and James Naismith were among guests who frequented the site. Seances were held at the home. In the 1970s the Ottawa Journal reported on the poltergeist activity experienced by renovation workers as it was being transformed to a museum. Since the staff at the Museum have consistently experienced the unexplained. Join in on the investigation from home, watch, listen and comment.

Join the second night of the public investigation of the Historic Mill of Kintail! This weekend the live viewing is held at the Gatehouse. The general store of John Baird who immigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1830 and built his milling enterprise. His employees were lodged upstairs. John Baird's home was just steps away from the Gatehouse, it unfortunately fell in disrepair and was torn down decades ago. He, his wife Isabella and children John, William, Isabella and Jeannie all passed on this property. It is believed they may still be here. In the 1930's the property was purchased by Robert Tate McKenzie and his wife Ethel. The Gatehouse was their guest house, Sir Robert Borden and William Lyon Mackenzie King stayed here when visiting, they would conduct seances to communicate with the Bairds.
