The little blue cabin is so very loved by so many. We are blessed to be able to share it with others who feel the love and coziness between its 4 walls as well as enjoying all the nature, wildlife and our fur family on our acreage. The messages our guests leave mean a lot to us and says a lot about the service we have provided for many years. ❤

We wish everyone a Happy Healthy and Safe 2024 and look forward to seeing many of our guests again and meeting new guests for the upcoming year. Hope everyone has had a happy and festive season.

The Beaver Valley Concert Band (BVCB) is a community band with members from the surrounding area (Meaford, Thornbury, Wasaga Beach, etc.). We practice Monday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Trinity United Church in Collingwood. Our director is Lesley Joosten.

We welcome musicians of all ages, with members ranging from age 14 to 70 plus, provided they are proficient enough to play our repertoire. Many of our older members have rediscovered their love of playing after a 30 year absence (or more)!

While we welcome all players, we are especially in need of percussion, trumpet, French horn and sax players. So check us out at one of practices and discuss your interest with our director if you think you might be a good fit!

Next up at , please welcome… Serena Ryder!

Serena Ryder tours her compelling latest album, The Art of Falling Apart, which invites listeners to join her mental wellness journey through a driving pop sound and the full range of her powerful voice.

On The Art of Falling Apart, her eighth studio album and seventh JUNO Award, she helps us understand the importance of sitting with the uncomfortable moments and the wisdom in their messages. Over a driving pop sound bursting with irresistible rhythms, pulsing bass lines, and the full range of her powerful and expressive voice, she pulls listeners through her own winding, transformational journey, detailing despair, toxic relationships, and breakdowns alongside hope, joy, and big, big love.

We're so excited to announce headlining artists for the 48th annual Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival, August 18, 19 & 20, 2023 at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park in Owen Sound, Ontario.

Multi-award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Loreena McKennit – recently inducted into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame – will be returning to her roots at Summerfolk on Friday, August 18th.

McKennitt's performance will largely feature her early repertoire of traditional Irish songs. She will be joined at the folk festivals by special guests The Bookends, a Stratford-based Celtic band, and several of their songs will also be included in the sets.

"It will be a bit like going back to 'touch the stone' performing some of these traditional songs, which inspired me so many years ago. Besides, this is really in my backyard," says McKennitt. "I first began performing in folk clubs in Winnipeg, and folk festivals are in my blood. I miss them terribly and am so looking forward to being a part of them again this summer."

More headlining artists for Summerfolk48 will be announced early next week. Weekend and single-day passes are on sale now at summerfolk.org with special pricing for seniors, young adults and teenagers. Children 13 and under are free.
