Whether you meet one-to-one with an employment consultant, participate in one of our many workshops or use our self-serve resources, we have something just for you! As a job seeker, you will have access to computers, printers, faxing, photocopying, job-search-related telephone messaging se

rvices, Internet access and the ability to apply for jobs online. Depending on eligibility, other WorkBC supports and services are available such as training, skills assessments, wage subsidy, self-employment services and customized job placement. If you are unemployed or are precariously employed and would like to get started, you can apply online through WorkBC employment services, call to make an appointment, or drop by our office. If transportation is an issue, online advising can be made available. We’ll work with you to ensure you meet your employment goals!

Discovery College Nanaimo and Work BC are partnering to provide fuIlly funded training for Community Mental Health and Personal Support Dual Certificate Program. If you are EI eligible and ready for a career as a youth worker, support worker or substance abuse front line worker, this program is a firm step towards job readiness! Participants in this program must meet funding eligibility requirements as well as Discovery College’s program entrance requirements. The program starts November 16, 2020 and runs to June 18, 2021.
