After all spring and summer it was good to get back into Sam’s pond! Hauling in some materials to build a shed.

With the lodge closed up, I want to send a big shout out to Nan(olive) mom(Sandra) and pop(Fred) for all your hard work in making this winter a successful one! Thank you for stepping in and getting me out of a jam! I couldn’t of done it without ya’s! We had alot of happy clients that had nothing but excellent things to say about you guys. You’s done an amazing job so I just wanted to say a few words to show some appreciation for all that you all have done! Thank you!!

Had a great day riding yesterday! Started off in over 5 mile road near parsons pond! From there we went up over the flat hills and down to Sam’s pond with some supplies. From Sam’s pond we went back to snowy gulsh, across the reservoir and in to cat arm pond. Then we went into trophy lake, over to john joe’s steady then over to goosney’s pond. With daylight left and still having abit of gas we decided to go to western brook gorge and from there we went back out over the flat hills! we had a great day and put on 300km’s with some great company!

Just wanted to give a heads up that Easter Sunday will be the last day open for the season!! We still have a few openings left for the first part of April and a couple left for the end of March if you were looking to stay , plus we will still have lunch available to serve daily as well if you wanted to stop for a feed and a warmup! We had a great first year with some improvements to come for next year. We would like to take the time to thank our guests who stayed with us and we look forward in seeing you again next season!

With winter just around the corner, we are pleased to announce that we are offering a guided tour package for this winter. Our lodge at sams pond!

Located on the Northern Peninsula we are offering lodging , food and even Ski-Doo tours for anyone interested. We will be located on Sams Pond , which is a very popular place while traveling on the hills , as it is about 20-30kms from the popular destination of Harbour Deep.

We are still working out the final details of everything but we have big plans. There will be a cook in there all during the operation having meals available for anyone who may stop by
There will also be high speed internet access avaible too, which is very convenient for anyone travelling the hills in the winter.

Anyone that would be interested in guided tours we also have that option to , Douglas Payne who is very familiar with the hills, as he is on them all year round, would be your guide.
