I am in Ecuador with John Ford, our Race Director of Expedition Canada, at the World Championships, and we are having an amazing time!

We are so excited to learn from this experience and to bring this event to Canada.. and to Penticton(!) next year.

We do however recognize that many people don't even really know what adventure racing is... So like true Canadians, we want to make sure everyone feels welcome and we have made a little video to help out... Adventure Racing for Dummies! 😉

Tomorrow I am off to Ecuador to assist, learn, cheer and adventure with the 2024 Adventure Racing World Championships. How exciting!

For those who follow us and don’t know, we are hosting the AR World Champs in September 2025 and I can’t be more proud and honoured by the opportunity. Hard work and perseverance does pay off when you follow your joy.

I want to invite everyone to follow along as we bring this international, 10 day, 700+ km event to life. I have so many goals through this process, but most importantly, connection to land and others.

You don’t have to be an adventure racer to support and get excited about this race. You can follow along from the comfort of your home. We will be posting here at Hoodoos and I also encourage you to follow even more story telling at our Expedition Canada page.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
