The S.S. Sicamous is the largest surviving paddle wheeler in Canada! It once was used to transport passengers and cargo to remote communities along the shores of Okanagan Lake. Today it rests on the shores of Okanagan Lake in Penticton operating as a Heritage Society and museum. 🚢

📍The Okanagan Lake Boardwalk: Walk this paved beachside path and take in stunning views along the way. Enjoy a variety art sculptures, check out the historic S.S. Sicamous, and finish your walk on the overlooking the lake on the Kiwanis Pier! 👟

Hey there, ski and snowboard lovers! If you’re looking for some winter fun, Penticton has three amazing ski hills waiting for you! 🏂

1) Apex Mountain Resort
With over, 2 000 feet of vertical skiable terrain, Apex Mountain Resort has some of best vertical slopes in the valley! Other activities at Apex Mountain Resort include: night skiing, a tube park, a Shinny Pond and a two-kilometer skating loop through the forest. ⛸️

2) Baldy Mountain Resort
Baldy Mountain Resort is a high alpine treasure. In fact, Mt. Baldy is the 3rd highest elevation ski area in British Columbia. 🏔️This resort offers a wide variety of beginner and intermediate terrain making it a great family resort.

3) Nickel Plate Nordic Centre
Get ready to explore 45 km of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing, along with 22 km of marked snowshoe trails! 🎿 At 1,850 meters of elevation, Nickel Plate Nordic Centre has one of the longest ski seasons in the western hemisphere, with trails for all abilities!

Have you ever wondered what winters are like in Penticton? ☃️
While the days may be shorter, we can still enjoy some nice highs of up to 5°C, while the average low dips to just -4°C from December to February. During the shoulder months of October and April, we even see highs around 15°C! Even though the weather is milder in town, there's still a ton of winter fun to be had—think snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and sledding! After a day of adventure, warm up with Penticton's vibrant foodie scene.
Winters in Penticton are, quite honestly, fantastic! ❄️
