On Saturday, Theresa visited the Bahia Principe Complex in Tulum. It is comprised of Grand Tulum, Coba, Luxury Akumal and Sian Ka’an. It is a very large complex with many amenities. Grand Tulum and Akumal are directly on the beach and are updated properties. Luxury Akumal is especially upscale. The other two properties are not directly on the beach but easy to get there, and are more economical options for vacationers. After a busy day Theresa was greeted with this beautiful room! Here are her thoughts so far: Secrets Tulum has a very zen look. All decor is calming. They have many pool areas. One for every type of activity level. This property is not beachfront. To give the beach feel there are areas of sand in the lobby as well around the pool areas. It is encouraged to go shoeless in these areas for a relaxed feel. There Is a shuttle to take you to the beach club which runs from 930-530 every 20 minutes daily. There are a lot of stairs at the but elevators are readily available.
