❄️ The PEC Wine community is thrilled to announce its first-ever Élevage festival, a winter celebration of the region’s renowned wine and food.

The winter months have historically been the slowest time of year in the County, with many wineries closing their doors to visitors until warm weather returns. But winter is a very special time of year for winemaking. Harvest is done, the wines are put into barrel to age, and we take a pause to prepare for bottling and the busy summer season. The barrel ageing process is referred to as élevage, and we wanted to take advantage of this quiet time of year to come together as a community and celebrate.

Seven wineries have opened their doors and invited their neighbours into their tasting rooms to pour wine and cider, creating a winter wine route that allows guests to visit up to 21 producers in a single weekend. This is the first time wineries have partnered in this way, and we’re so excited to be able to offer this experience to wine lovers. ❄️
