99.3 County FM Presents The Songwriters’ Stage Lineup - Featuring all local artists! For 2022 we will once again have our second stage featuring all local Prince Edward County musicians! This stage will be mostly acoustic and you'll be able to see our performers in the Bluebird Room on a small intimate stage, in time slots set during the changeovers on the Main Stage. This means you'll get to see more music!

INTRODUCING TAYLOR KNOX
Please note this is NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE! 🤣 The great Taylor Knox will be bringing his rock and roll show to County Pop 2022! We love Taylor's music and some of you may remember him from the time he blew the lid off the stage at our sister festival back in 2016.
Taylor Knox’s 2015 debut EP, Lines, marked the arrival of a rare breed of singer/songwriter, one whose instincts are naturally attuned to the power pop principles of crunchy guitars, smooth harmonies and tales of teenage heartache. Knox has grown up since then, and channeled the wonder of this new phase of life into his first—and aptly titled—full-length album, LOVE. Comprised of 11 tracks that would find good company on any playlist containing Big Star, Teenage Fanclub and Tame Impala, LOVE exemplifies Knox’s direct and utterly irresistible approach. Although he’s honed his sound primarily on his own until now, Knox felt it was the right time to approach his old friend Afie Jurvanen (aka Bahamas) about producing. Jurvanen, in tandem with co-producer Josh Korody and the mixing team of Gus Van Go and Werner F, added many new facets to Knox’s latest album.

If you listen to 99.3 County FM, then you have heard the music of Kris and Dee. They love them, and we do too! We are so happy they are part of our County Pop Year #5!
Kris+Dee are Kris Abbott (The Pursuit of Happiness) and Dee McNeil (The Strap-Ons). Browse Line (late 2019) is the 4th album of this married philoso-folk duo from Kingston. “Quiet revolutionaries”, “devastation in a pretty package” and “the super folk duo of our riot grrrl dreams” are descriptions as diverse as one would expect for two women from the fiddle-rich Ottawa Valley who came of age in the 70’s and 80’s and cut their musical teeth in pop-rock and punk bands.

The stars have aligned for County Pop 2022! We are so pleased to present a new classic combination of three of PEC's favourite singer/songwriters in a single iconic package! At County Pop, Noronha/Bozikovic/Burns will bring together their finest harmonies and favourite original songs for to enjoy at the iconic Crystal Palace stage.
Let's recap just a few accomplishments:
::: Annelise Noronha is a celebrated musician and studio engineer. As an audio engineer and mixer, she has worked with the most indie of artists, to some pretty famous ones (Jennifer Lopez, Oscar Peterson). She has mixed film scores for Lesley Barber, and for Oscar-winner Mychael Danna.
::: Lisa Bozikovic has a huge, haunting voice that moves effortlessly from smoky places to soaring high ranges. Sometimes, she uses it to sound more like a bird or whale than a human. Her years of singing and playing classical music have given her a passion for layered choral pieces and full, orchestral arrangements.
::: Kat Burns is songwriter and accomplished musician, writer and performer (KASHKA, Forest City Lovers) and a 2020 alum of the Slaight Music Residency at the Canadian Film Centre. Kat’s original songs and compositions have been heard on national and international film and television programs.

Our 2020 headliner is the Juno-nominated Devin Cuddy Band! This Canadian singer-songwriter has released two acclaimed full length albums, and one EP. As the son of one of Canada’s most beloved singer/songwriters, Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, country rock has been the soundtrack to Devin’s entire life—he was born the same week Blue Rodeo began recording its 1987 debut album, Outskirts.
