This weekend, I participated in a special hiking event, "Operation Little Black Dress". It is to help raise money for Search & Rescue. It was a beautiful Sunset Hike on Elk Mountain with an awesome group of women. I will put the donation link in the comments. If you're able to make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. We are so lucky to have the people who volunteer for SAR.

A testimony to my work ethic.

I work hard at being the best at my job, that I can be. Sometimes, to my own detriment.
This line of work is physically demanding, and if you care, like I do, mentally as well.

Im no stranger to burn out, and somehow (sarcasm, I know exactly how lol). I found my way back here, again. I knew it was coming and didn't listen to my body quickly enough!

For the last 2-3 months I have been working extra hours, recouping some financial losses after being the victim of some next level bank hacking and Life has been "lifing", in general (I feel like Im not alone in the stresses of life right now in the current state of our world 💜).

I ended up popping a rib out while working. Turned out, after a visit with my RMT & Chiropractor, my body was out of alignment in more places than one. It was no wonder, I honestly felt like I had been in a car wreck.

I've had to put my reliability on the back burner, which I hate. Last-minute cancellations, I know how frustrating they are.
I appreciate the understanding and patience of my regular clients while Im in R&R mode.

As always, Im incredibly thankful for what I do. When I need to bring in more money, I have no shortage of work opportunities. When I have goals and dreams, I have a means to go after them with the absolute choice of how I spend my time.
And when I need to take some time off to rest, I'm grateful to have wonderful clients who understand and respect my decision to do so. I often get told, "Im so glad you're taking some time off. You deserve it." Not to mention, the loyalty to maintaining our work relationship.

Gratitude, above all else. And a friendly reminder to listen to your body, a lesson, I still have a hard time learning, I guess 😅

Yesterday, one of my regular clients daughters gave me some of her artwork. I've been helping this family for over 2 years now, and the little girl has always been quite shy around me. She's recently begun to feel more comfortable around me, curious as ever and even trying to show off a little now, "look at my hat! Check out my Fort!"Haha... it's super cute! I felt honored that she wanted to give me some of her artwork to take home ☺️

Having the opportunity to form connections with so many people in this line of work is a true blessing. I unfortunately do not have relationships with my own family. I have worked my way through a lot of trauma over the years, and this job has been there as a tool through it all. This job makes me feel like I have 20+ families!

I am celebrating 10 years in business this year. A milestone for sure! I can't believe it's been this long! I am grateful beyond words. Thank you, thank you, thank you 💜💜💜

I'm happy, proud & honored to be welcomed into so many peoples lives to help them, I wanted to share because each one of my clients has been as big of help to me in my own life as I am in theirs. They have the power to turn a bad day into a good day, and I can't say that about any jobs I've had in the past before I became the Eager Beaver.
I truly love what I do ☺️

My good friend Nicole Von Chorus is looking for a cat friendly rental in the Tri-city area or anywhere on that side of the Port Mann bridge. She is a quiet and respectful, 40 year old woman with a fantastic government job (works in Port Coquitlam). Nicole and her cat, Lulu, are often both away from the home (lulu is an adventure cat whom Nicole brings hiking with her! Haha). I thought I would put out a blast for her in hopes of finding some leads. She's looking for something for July 1st.

Good morning Facebook world, I wanted to share some good news of mine. A window into another one of my passions - Hiking!
Earlier this year I was made an ambassador for the local chapters of Hiker babes . A role Im proud to have been given the opportunity to fulfill. Hikerbabes is a wonderful, womens only, hiking community, with chapters all over the US, Canada and more. There are even hikerbabes retreats all over the world in destinations like Iceland, Bali and more. As an ambassador, I organize and lead hikes and other social events for the hiking community. Full blown hiking season is alllllmost here! So, I thought I'd give my local chapters a share. Ladies, if you are interested, please come join the groups! An awesome community to make new friends and be inspired and motivated daily 😄

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this (international womens day), but Ive just finished the audiobook, "The Soul of Money" by Lynne Twist, and it was an incredibly inspiring listen. A non-traditional, mindset shifting book on money. So I thought, why not get the hype going early, we deserve it anyways!! Right ladies ? 😄💃

I started the tradition of gifting my regular clients with a little something for Christmas time. Its always been a product that supports a small business, sometimes a business a friend owns (shout out Fort Flave 🌶).

In honour of International Womens day, I came up with the fun idea to search out local women, who own a business that sells products.
I would love to see what's being created out there by local women! And in true Eager Beaver passion, I would love to highlight and support those women.

MY GOAL WITH THIS POST: Find a product that I absolutely love, so I can share it with my regular clients at the end of the year as a gift.
That being said, if the business offers a service of some sort, please still share!

Please drop your suggestions for local women owned & operated businesses below! Im looking forward to seeing whats out there.

Ps: I highly recommend that book I mentioned above and I highly recommend women supporting other women, always and in everything! 🎉

Better late than never 😜MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of my clients-past, future & present! I hope it was a pleasant holiday season for you all, it certainly was/is for me. I'm still on my holiday break, it's extended, as I've had a lot to celebrate! 2023 was a great year for me...I'm grateful as always to be the Eager Beaver, I absolutely love what I do and am glad to be of service to so many amazing clients. One of my amazing clients has been extra supportive of me this past year. I had a goal to complete 100 Trails in 2023, which I did successfully! This particular client, we will call "the muffin master", has been baking me muffins all year and I started taking them on my hikes, so "muffin on a mountain" photos became a thing haha... Thank you for powering me & my hiking boots!! 😁
And January 3rd I celebrated 3 years alcohol free 🎉 I've appreciated connecting with some of my clients to find out they are on the same journey.
It has truly been an amazing year and I wanted to share. I am so grateful!
Looking forward to helping y'all in 2024 💓

Hello all present, past & future clients! Just chiming in to give my thanks and well wishes for the New Year. I was quiet over the holidays, working away. I hope that Christmas time or however you celebrate was full of magic, ease & joy.
I received many thoughtful gifts & cards this year from my regulars, my gratefulness is never ending! You truly make the holidays a beautiful time for me, I'm usually just trying to rush through them. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of me 💜

I gifted my regulars with some heat this year, some hot sauce! Made by a local company Fort Flave which belongs to a dear friend of mine. I actually helped make & bottle the batch that I gave out. I love to support a small business but I really love to support my friends small businesses! If you like hot sauce, definitely check them out.

Thoughts while cleaning....

One of my clients just did a bunch of house renovations. The new toilets all say "Toto" on them, the brand I guess.
Naturally, I dreamt up a whole scenario that on April Fools day I rigged the toilets somehow, so when they lifted the seats "Africa" by Toto would play. 😂

I've ruined that surprise now! 😜 so it won't come to fruition haha but I'll probably have that song pop in my head every time I clean one of her toilets.

Just a PSA, I am behind in my schedule work. I was anticipating to amp up my hours/book extra jobs etc. starting this month and finishing off the year. I still fully plan on that! Life however, had other ideas for me 😅 I've been home recovering from shingles and now dealing with a sick kitty cat (a trip to the emergency clinic last night).

Lots of clients have cats & dogs, but few have bunnies! This little one is as brave as they come! Never shy's away when the vacuum comes out, always curious. Perks of the job! I love working alongside peoples pets ☺️

New work shirts came in!
Uniforms for me have always been important. It's sounds corny, but when I put that shirt on I slip into character of being in service, being helpful. The colour scheme a kin to "the great American dream", makes me think of Superman/Superwoman so the shirt in my mind is just like that of the heroes costume. I love helping people, and I might as well look good & feel good doing it 😉
Love seeing my new logo come to life! A symbol of my values and attitude and a reminder of how far I've come since I started this thing. Still got that elbow grease 💪💪💪
