Sunshine Coast Shuttle began as a volunteer shuttle vehicle for the Sunshine Coast Trail (SCT) Marathon Shuffle in April, 2016. The growing popularity of the 180km SCT proved the need for a shuttle service, and Sunshine Coast Shuttle hit the (logging)road on October 1st, 2016. Much of the credit must be given to Eagle Walz, co-founder/architect/author of the Sunshine Coast Trail, for the opportuni

ty to shuttle nature seekers to our amazing backyard. A percentage of earnings from SCT hikers will be donated to Powell River Parks and Wilderness Society (PRPAWS). PRPAWS members also receive 10% off Sunshine Coast Shuttle fares.

Due to road maintenance Sarah Point Road is rerouted at km 8. This part of Sarah Point Road is on private property and not part of the FSR network. There is a reroute (approx. route in picture below) around the closed road which will continue to allow permanent access to Sarah Point, but requires high clearance 4x4 vehicles.

Please email us with any questions.

**Huts Remain Closed**

As BC moves into Restart Phase 2, there have been many questions regarding whether or not the huts are now open.

The restrictions on enclosed spaces is still in effect with no end date stated. For this reason, the huts will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Picnic tables and outhouses remain accessible for use.

We ask that hikers bring a tent to sleep in, while exploring the SCT.

As we are unable to physically lock the huts, we ask that everyone does their part to please follow our request.

Be kind and stay safe!

Did you know we also offer service to all those Knucklehead Winter Recreation folks out there?

You’d have to be a knucklehead to think that there’s any skiing near Powell River. At least, that’s what North Vancouver adventurer Ean Jackson thought before hooking up with his friend Doc Pow and. . .
