4-day packages during this time of year have savings of $140 per person, while our 5-day trips are $200 per person less than the Peak Adult price.

However, our group pricing at this time is in effect for all groups of just 4 or more people - which brings savings of $240 per person for 4-day trips, and $340 per person for our 5-day Cabana packages!

Just like the weather, wildlife sightings can shift and change in Desolation Sound - and trips to Cabana Desolation Eco Resort early in the summer present some truly wonderful and quintessential opportunities.

California and Steller Sea Lions head to their summer rookeries by July and August, but they can still be spotted in and out of the water in Desolation Sound in June, barking (or growling) at each other before they leave.

For bird-lovers, there are many species of waterfowl especially that are more likely to be spotted in June than later in the summer, including Western Grebes, Common Loons, Surf Scoters, and the very charismatic Bonaparte's Gull.

And with cooler and clearer water temps before the heat of summer, colourful intertidal creatures like ochre & leather stars, vermillion stars, blood stars, and California sea cucumbers are all much easier to spot from a kayak - or with a mask & snorkel (and shorty wetsuit) - at this time of year!
