It's time that people are starting to think about booking their fall/winter vacations (I know, summer hasn't even got here yet!).

I am going to tell you that all inclusives are not the same as they used to be. Prices have gone up dramatically and quality has gone down at many resorts. If you are looking for a true all inclusive and want to be sure you get value for your hard earned dollars, I cannot recommend Sandals (or Beaches if you are travelling with family) enough. Good morning everyone! I am going to do a video explaining this also, but this week is busy and I am not sure when I'll have time to get to it. So, in the meantime, I want to explain our new Mind My Travel page and give you some info on what it is all about. Mind My Travel is NOT the same as Adventures With Deena page and will not have the same content. I know there is some confusion about exactly what I am doing between the two, so here is a quick explanation.

In addition to my independent travel business, I am also running Mind My Travel, the travel division of Mind My Business Consulting Inc., which I am super excited about! I invite you to check out our business page as well and see what we are all about.

"We were able to book our accommodations using a few of your recommendations so I think we are all good! Thanks for your help and suggestions. I will let you know if there is anything needed in the future!"

Messages like this are the reason service fees are necessary for detailed or complicated itineraries. I love doing research for clients, but working for free is no fun, and it definitely does not pay the bills! I am not calling anyone out, because these clients did pay a service fee so I did get paid for some of the work, but it just is a good visual explanation for why a research and planning fee is required.

If people use my research and recommendations and then book on their own, I do not get commission from suppliers, which means I don't get paid for my work - at all. Suppliers do pay us to recommend their services, but we have to actually book the trip to get paid. While it doesn't cost you more, you do get the benefit of having someone personally support you through your whole travel experience! And why wouldn't you want I be able to enjoy your trip and have someone else take care of the details?
