Yesterday we paddled from Campobello .A foggy mystical morning which eventually opened up ... In flow with the last of the flood tide and Minke whales . I decided to paddle back across to Deer Island after the trip . At the mouth of the harbour I had a little spirit greet me

Our experience with Seascape Kayak Tours was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, Bruce and Dan welcomed us like family. Bruce's kindness extended to our little one, who usually is quite shy but became an enthusiastic chatterbox thanks to Bruce taking her under his wing as his paddling partner. It was heartwarming to see her excitement grow throughout the day.

Bruce and Dan's knowledge of the landscape and wildlife was exceptional. They shared fascinating insights about the area, enhancing our appreciation of the natural beauty surrounding us.

Our only regret? That we booked only half a day! We could have happily paddled for hours more, soaking in the serene waters and stunning scenery. 🌊 ☀️ 🦭

World Oceans Day is coming up this week. And there are few people more passionate about the ocean than Bruce Smith of Deer Island. He started Seascape Kayak Tours on the island about 30 years ago. And since then he has spent countless hours exploring the waters surrounding the island and beyond.

Seascape is hosting a paddlers’ gathering to celebrate World Oceans Day on June 08, 2024

The guided trip will be a wonderful exploration of the West Isles region of the Bay of Fundy. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the proposed West Isles and Passages Marine Protected Area (MPA).
