Last month we wrapped up our seasonal direct downtown Vancouver/Comox route for 2024. Thank you to our loyal and valued guests for hopping aboard with us for another season soaring from Vancouver Island's coastal gem to the mainland. Harbour Air extends our best wishes to Coulson Aviation - Next Gen Firefighting and their historic Philippine Mars water bomber, as it prepares for its final flight the week of November 18, weather permitting. The retired WWII-era aircraft will depart from Sproat Lake near Port Alberni, Canada to its new home and final resting place at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ, USA.

The Philippine Mars is one of only two surviving JRM Mars water bombers left in existence, the other plane being the Hawaii Martin Mars. In August 2024, two Harbour Air pilots had the incredible honor of participating in the final flight of the Hawaii Martin Mars, helping deliver it to its new home at B.C.'s Victoria Aviation Museum.

We wish Coulson Aviation and the Philippine Mars a successful final flight, as it marks the end of an era for these treasured and historic aircraft.

The Second World War-era plane is expected to fly to its new home at the Pima Air and Space Museum the week of Nov. 18, weather permitting.

🎬 And that's a wrap on Tofino. Last week, we operated our final flight on our seasonal Tofino route for 2024!

Big thanks to Tourism Tofino for the warm and hospitable welcome as we operated daily flights between downtown Vancouver, Vancouver (YVR South), and Victoria direct to Tofino Harbour and landing at the spectacular Tofino Resort + Marina. Shout-out to our operations teams across our network for providing both locals and visitors from around the world a direct [and scenic] route to one of British Columbia's coastal gems. We look forward to welcoming you all back when we return in Spring 2025!

Today, the team at Harbour Air successfully launched its first-ever Wheeled Flight Service between Vancouver International Airport's (YVR) South Terminal and Victoria International Airport!

Thank you to Elizabeth Brown, C.M., of YYJ Airport's for the warm welcome and Mary Point, Director of Indigenous Relations at YVR for the Musqueam Land Acknowledgement and support leading up to our launch day.

We would like to extend a big Harbour Air thank you to every team member across the network for their dedication in making the inaugural flight a success! From our Guest Experience Team, Customer Contact Centre, Ground Operations, Pilot Crews, Dispatch, and front-line members, thank you.

We’re excited to take off down the runway and embark on this new chapter to provide our passengers with even more travel options and flight flexibility during the winter months. We're wheelie excited to welcome you all aboard!
