Happy Thanksgiving!
I want to take a moment to say thank you for your support for pizza night this summer. I heard and felt your gratitude for having the opportunity to come to the farm again with your family and friends. I enjoy the connections the most.

Friday, August 25 is Bikers Pizza Night. That means arriving on a motorcycle, bicycle, or e-bike. No cars on the farm or parked on the road, please. This evening is to remember Cornelius who loved having motorcyclists come for pizza picnics. Send a DM to make a reservation.

BY RESERVATION ONLY Pizza Night is every Friday and Saturday 5:00 - 9:00.
Please DM early in the week for your reservation and number of people. We will send you the menu. Please preorder 48 hours in advance. All of these details help us as we prepare in hosting the event as it is now.

Just so you know, this is the last weekend we are offering the Fisherman’s Catch - pickerel checks, creamy and lemony!

Hello friends! Spring is arriving on the farm. One of the things I love most about seasons in Manitoba is the beauty in moving from a quiet, contemplative winter into the rebirth of new life, with all of its hopes and possibilities. As you know, Cornelius and I delighted in gathering people together around food. I have decided to continue this tradition in a different format. Throughout the summer I will be hosting small pizza experiences by reservation. I am excited to have the opportunity to engage more with you. A new website is coming.

The memorial service for our dear Cornelius will be held on the Integrity Foods farm on Sunday, September 18 - rain or shine at 2:30 p.m.

Please feel free to wear his favourite colour - red.
Potluck meal to follow.
Do you have a story to share? Bring it for the open mic or drop it in the basket.
Bring a lawn chair.

Dear friends, thank you for standing with our family as we have helped Cornelius navigate his life’s last chapter.

He passed away last night, surrounded by his wife and family, hearing songs he loved.

The last adventure he invited us on was to care for his body naturally when he died.

We invite you to come to the Friesen Farm, today between 3:00-8:00 pm to pay your last respects and to be with his family.

We will be burying his body as a family on Monday, but wish to invite you to a memorial service on the farm set for next weekend – details forthcoming.

Friends! Thank you for the outpouring of love and support for Cornelius, and your kind reception of our hard decision. We've read each comment with gratitude for the times we've shared with you. It was interesting to note the prevailing theme that you loved time spent on the farm...not just the pizza.

Our pandemic project has been building a tiny house on the farm - https://airbnb.com/h/tinyhomeonthefarm . Some of you may have seen it last summer. The opportunities it yielded for creativity (both for us and others in our life!) were helpful in weathering the difficulties of the last couple of years. We dreamed, as we built, of how the tiny house would allow us to host in a more relaxed way.

This year, while unable to spend all week preparing to host Pizza Night, we are still able to look forward to hosting you in, Mein Heim, the new little home on the farm! Bring your kids or friends. Come sit on the screened porch (out of mosquitoes' reach) and enjoy the quiet evenings. Visit the animals with your morning coffee. We look forward to seeing you!

It is with considerable sadness that we announce Pizza Night will not be opening. We have been enriched with friendships by serving our guests for 20 years! This farm holds many memories for families and friends. Heartfelt thanks to all for the support over the years. We are assured that our sadness will be your sadness too.

Cornelius’ health is what we want to give ourselves to now. We welcome you to stop by for a visit!

The 2021 pizza season has ended. We thank you heartily for your support! We love seeing our friends - old and new!
If you want a farm visit when we are not making pizza, come stay in our cosy, tiny farmhouse!
