New parents Jeremy and Alice are travelling with their baby daughter for the first time. Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the packing process, they turned to us for guidance. To help make their journey smoother, we shared these helpful :
1. Liquids such as breast milk, milk, water, and juice in quantities greater than 100ml are permitted in your carry-on for children 24 months or younger -- this may be especially useful for long flights.
2. If you are travelling with liquids over 100 ml, pack them in an easily accessible spot in your carry-on. You will need to present these items to the screening officer during security screening.
3. Is your child travelling with a favourite stuffy? Double-check its contents. If it’s weighted (e.g. contains material like glass beads or sand), ensure it’s in quantities of 350 mL/350 g or less as larger amounts will not be permitted in your carry-on.
4. At the screening checkpoint, check if the Family/Special Needs line is available. Screening officers at this line can offer you additional assistance and more time to get through security.
