Linwood House is a gathering place for retreats, workshops & celebrations, located in Roberts Creek

Since 2001, Linwood House has hosted hundreds of retreats and special celebrations that have resulted in many happy clients. No matter the purpose of the retreat or celebration, people come with expectations, often weighted with the cares of life, and leave inspired, and connected and with renewed possibilities. We can comfortably accommodate groups between 6 and 12 persons for retreats. For larger group special occasions please contact us with your details.

Take a close look at this photo, or it will be easy to miss!

Our family got very excited when we learned we might have the opportunity to see a comet 💫 that only comes around every 80,000 years, so on Wednesday night Heidi, Jack and I set out to the Davis Bay pier to find it.

Unfortunately, due to cloud cover, we had no luck. 😔 Last night, Jack and I decided we would try again, despite the partly cloudy forecast.

This time, we decided on the Roberts Creek pier, since it is a darker area. Using an app, we were able to locate the general area the comet was in, and then using my iPhone at a long exposure setting we were able to capture the comet in its full glory! 🥳

We were even able to find it, after a lot of trial and error, with a hand-held telescope 🔭

It was a truly magical evening that I will not soon forget, spent with my 16 year old son, who, for that evening, let the wonder of his childhood shine through (and I did too!)
