The days are getting longer, the light stretches just a little further, and before we know it, summer adventures in Gros Morne National Park will be calling. But for now, there's still time to soak in the beauty of winter’s quiet magic.

Conditions on the trails are spectacular today. Come out for a ski (or a sled on the sliding hill) before the rain.

Ski Trail Update Feb 13, 2025
The ski trails around the Visitor Centre and on the upper side of the road are tracked and groomed and are in great condition.

The trails in Cow Head have been groomed and tracked. The road portion of the trail is only in fair condition but the woods section is good. More snow is required to bring up the quality of the ski trail.

We should have an update on Wigwam ski trail coming soon.

I want to send out a big "thank you" to Boyd and Shawn for the wonderful job in maintaining our trails and keeping up with the many tasks that are presented to them each day.

Welcome to 2025!

The dedicated volunteers who bring Writers at Woody Point to life each summer have been hard at work finalizing the schedule and lineup for this year’s festival.

📅 Festival Dates: August 19-24, 2025

For those of you traveling to Bonne Bay this summer, we’ve made a few schedule adjustments that may impact your plans.

✨ Sunday is shaping up to be a festival highlight. Begin your morning with our signature outdoor programming, where nature, storytelling, music and a touch of surprise come together for a one-of-a-kind experience. Then, ease into the afternoon at the Legion, where David Ferry’s Short Waves/Short Stories will deliver its signature mix of brief but powerful tales. Grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy.

🎶 In the evening, we’ll present a special program of readings, music, and conversation—an inspiring finale to an unforgettable week.

Who’s Coming This Year?

We’ll start unveiling our lineup in just a few weeks, but here’s a sneak peek:

⭐ Our opening concerts will feature a one-time-only collaboration between two hugely popular acts.
📚 Two critically acclaimed international authors will make their Writers at Woody Point debuts.
✨ We’ll also be launching a brand-new book by one of our festival’s most beloved writers.

And that’s just the beginning. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements soon.

See you in August!
