🇨🇦✈️ Important Update for Canadian Travelers to Europe in 2025 🌍

Planning a European trip? Starting in 2025, Canadians will need a travel authorization to visit most European countries. Here’s what you need to know:

🆕 What is ETIAS?

• The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) is a new pre-screening requirement for visa-exempt travelers, including Canadians, to enter the Schengen Area.

• The goal? Enhance security and streamline border crossings.

📝 How to Apply
• Online application: Takes about 10 minutes.
• What you need: A valid passport, an email address, and a credit or debit card for the application fee.
• Approval time: Most are processed within minutes.

💰 Cost and Validity
• Fee: $10 CAD for travelers aged 18 to 70.
• Validity: ETIAS lasts for three years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

🌍 Affected Countries

• ETIAS applies to 30 countries in the Schengen Area, including France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and more.

📅 When Does It Start?

• The ETIAS system is expected to launch in 2025.

We have a new airport in Tulum Mexico and air Canada is the first to sign up to fly in to it 👌

Air Canada has announced they will be the Canadian airline to offer service to Tulum, with flights from Toronto and Montreal to the newest airport in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, starting May 3, 2024.

As Westjet moves forward with integrating Westjet and Sunwing, here is a note about the vacation package side of things

The tour operator business, Sunwing Vacations and WestJet Vacations together will form the leading tour operator in Canada and will continue to operate independently under their existing and respective brands, as integral parts of the WestJet Group. As a result, both Sunwing Vacations and WestJet Vacations will significantly expand vacation offerings to even more communities across its extensive network as well as offering affordable vacation packages from communities in Canada on a year-round basis, which were previously seasonal.

🌺 Beginning April 22nd, fans will be able to meet Moana in Disney's Animal Kingdom!

💜 Later this summer, guests will finally have the chance to hug beloved fan-favorite Figment in EPCOT!

🌸🏵️💮 This fall, guests will meet Mirabel in Magic Kingdom, after the Fairytale Garden is transformed with whimsical décor inspired by La Familia Madrigal!

🌊 Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will debut this fall in World Nature in EPCOT. This self-guided exploration trail will take guests through the natural water cycle – from the skies to oceans and back again!

🎆 Later this year, a new nighttime spectacular will debut in EPCOT. Set around World Showcase Lagoon, this show will feature fireworks, lasers, music and light, as well as an original composition and select songs from the Disney songbook.

🌎 Animal Kingdom celebrates Earth Day AND their 25th anniversary on April 22nd! There will be limited-time character sightings in the park, along with new treats to enjoy, and specialty merchandise!

🍹In late 2023, a fresh new restaurant will open in Disney Springs. Summer House on the Lake will feature a California-inspired menu featuring pizza, pasta, fresh salads, and sandwiches. There will also be an exclusive Summer House Rosé served along with a selection of wine, beer, handcrafted cocktails, and non-alcoholic drink on one of three expansive outdoor patios with a lake view.

⚜️ Later this summer, a tiara-topped water tower featuring the Tiana’s Foods logo will make its way to Magic Kingdom. The story surrounding Tiana's next chapter continues to unfold in anticipation of the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, coming to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in 2024.

🚲 Last but certainly not least, starting April 4th, guests will be able to race across the Grid in TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise!
