Unlicensed charters aren't only a problem in Toronto. If you're paying someone to go on their boat, ask about their certifications, standing with Transport Canada, and their insurance. Niagara Nautico is fully licensed and insured, and we take your safety seriously. We want you to have fun and enjoy the nautical life, and we've done everything in our power to make sure you come home safe at the end of your trip with a big smile on your face.

As Toronto swelters under the heat and more head down to Lake Ontario to find relief, boat operators are warning people to be careful to avoid unlicensed operators.

Hello all we would like to introduce Niagara Nautico’s Captain, Russ! He is a Transport Canada licensed officer with 15 years of sailing experience. Prior to settling down in Niagara, Russ spent three years sailing around the world on small sailboats, traveling through the Pacific, Caribbean, Baltic, and the East and South China Seas on journeys that covered more than 10,000 nautical miles. He swam with sharks, sailed next to whales and watched dolphins play in the bow-wave of the boat. Now at home in Niagara, Russ enjoys sharing that love of the water with new sailors. Russ is ordained under the laws of the Province of Ontario and is proud to offer LGBTQ+ inclusive ceremonies, on or off the water.
