I had an incredible overnight camping adventure at Pea Point Nature Preserve last weekend. Such a vibe watching the Grand Manan ferry float by from the front of my tent. The island lighthouse was first lit in 1878 and is still actively running today. It is only accessible at low tide so check the schedule before making the short trek over! Absolutely worth checking out! There are some beautiful coastal trails around Wallace Cove too, which I’ll be highlighting tomorrow!

When the sky paints the Bay 🎨
Taking a moment to honor the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the magnificent Bay of Fundy that cradles our region. Its power has shaped the rugged coastline and iconic rock formations like Hole in the Wall on Grand Manan Island and the Hopewell Rocks in neighboring Alma. But most importantly, it's the lifeline of so many of the tiny coastal villages and communities that dot our coastlines.

A special shoutout and thank you to the marine scientists and conservation efforts at .ngo , protecting and nurturing these waters and marine life.

Just a day out with their favourite party animals 🐐🦙Did you know that Kingsbrae Garden has created a special garden area for the little ones? It's a delightful space filled with whimsical decor and small playhouses inspired by a garden tea party straight out of Alice in Wonderland.

The garden also offers a fantastic children’s program where kids can spend time with trained and qualified staff while the adults explore the other themed gardens, art sculptures, and art gallery.

The chhildren’s area is located near the animal petting area where you can meet goats and alpacas when they are not out for their daily walks near the cafe. Bunnies and sometimes even the resident ducks will be waddling around in the area, making for a memorable visit to the gardens.

So, what do you think? Are you team goat or alpaca? Let us know!

Kickoff for the Island summer concert series starts today! Showcasing Atlantic Canadian artists throughout the summer, they are kicking it off with New Brunswick artists Troy McLaggen and Dave Palmer.

This is a must-see performance for fans of acoustic music. Cross the ocean floor at 12:15 to take in the concert on a national historic site, surrounded by the Bay of Fundy, and then plan to stroll the island’s trails and historic buildings.

If you’re feeling hungry, char and chowder, Saint Andrews’ BBQ masters are serving up char boxes to enjoy during the concert.

Troy is a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award nominee in the instrumental category for his latest solo release, "Wood Steel and Bones," and we think it’s a great way to experience some maritime magic in beautiful Saint Andrews 🌊🐚🐳.

Visit https://www.ministersisland.net/concerts to see the full lineup and for advanced ticket purchases. But don’t fret, tickets can be purchased at the island's box office if you’re rolling with the tides while visiting.

This lighthouse is a real keeper, eh?

📍Head Harbour light station on Campobello Island has been around for over a century, and it’s stunning, don’t you think?

One of the most photographed lighthouses in the world (and we can see why), this was New Brunswick’s second lighthouse and is considered one of the oldest in Canada 🇨🇦

This lighthouse is worth the trek to visit it, since it’s only accessible at low tide to get to the rocky inlet. Located at a strategic point between Canada and the United States, the lighthouse helped boats to navigate through the narrow strait separating Canada and the US.

Have you had a chance to see this light house up close?
