We have a 1Week Overnight Kayak Camp August 18th-24th for Youth 13-18 years old and we also have a Outdoor Adventure Day Camp on Salt Spring Island for Youth ages 9-12 on August 12th-15th

Just before the holidays I thought I would show some highlight photos of the Fall Programming. Was a great year for Coastal Current and thanks to all the students, campers, guides and paddlers who made it such a rich and vibrant experience for the staff here. Soon Jasper and Carissa will be taking the reins of this business and I am certain they will due a fabulous job!! Many thanks to everyone who made this a successful and safe season! We have had a great camp season thus far and wanted to show just a few amazing shots of the amazing campers and adventures we have been up too this July! The Kayak Camp got a very close encounter with Orcas on their last night!! Way more to come and we are really looking forward to Day Camp and August Kayak and Surf!!

Coastal Current Adventures has 3 spots left in our July 2-8 Kayak Camp (13-18yrs) and 3 spots left in our July 9-15 Surf Camp in Ucluelet(13-18yrs). We also have several spots available in Leadership Camp which is 12 days kayaking the West Coast of Vancouver Island (15- 19 yrs) developing all the skills you need to paddle safely and enjoy our wild west coast environment.

The year of 2022 was a busy one here at Coastal Current Adventures. We would like to thank all of you who took part in guides courses, Camps and Outdoor Education programs for making this year a fabulous adventure! It has been a while since I posted any photos of our adventures at Coastal Current Adventures. Today marks our last program of 2022 season and I will fill in photos from the entire season soon. But here is a big thanks to all those in Eco Ed that were such amazing students, learners and environmental stewards for our future! Well done all of you! I have really enjoyed working with everyone of you. Todays session was a select few who championed the cold water and did a stroke and rescue clinic!!
Surf program was awesome in July!! What a great bunch of campers and the surf was fun and built nicely!! Plus, we got to learn lots about intertidal life and fish. Thanks to campers and instructors for a great program!

Coastal Current Adventures is getting ready to start the 2022 Camp season. We begin with our July 3-9 one week Kayak Camp this Sunday paddling through the Gulf Islands. Jasper and Cass will be running the first camp and then we jump into our surf Program July 10-16 with Jack and jasper! The camp season is upon us!!
Our April AOG was an amazing challenge with the wind, surf and regular Surf Landings. Congrats to all 8 folks who have passed and learned so much about guiding in class 3 waters! Well done Ya'll and see you out on the water! Heres a quick glimpse of some of our days, although the camera doesn't come out in the surf at all!
Eco Ed programming was super interesting and a great learning experience for everyone. Thanks to the 18 students who made this program worth while and we hope you will go on to be stewards of this natural environment we have played in. Good work and for those that attended 4 out of 5 programs a certificate will be handed out to you in June!
We would like to congratulate our new Level 1 guides who have taken our level 1 courses this April and May. Great work and learning by everyone and you will all make fabulous guides teaching and educating your students in a safe environment. Here is a sample of these courses:
First Eco Ed Program of the season was on April 1st--no joke! It's a fabulous group of teens from around the globe. There were many brave souls that after learning about fresh water ecology and kayaking jumped into the lake a few times! Next Eco Ed session is this upcoming Friday April 15th!
Happy New Year. We are blessed with another Fabulous year at Coastal Current Adventures. I just went through the 2021 photo albums and took some of the highlight shots of the year. Thanks to all the youth and teens that took part in our Camps and outdoor Ed programs. More thanks to those that took guide courses and Expeditions. We really look forward to great adventures in 2022 and it looks like it will be a busy one. If you have not signed up for camps and are planning to, please do so right away as space is getting very limited. I snuck the odd personal adventure shot in there just for fun!

Here is a sampling of our last few Eco Ed programs. Highlight was Marine Mammal studies as we got superb weather and good viewing of lots of Porpoise. Full moon paddle turned out extremely well and we had a pre Halloween celebration with a pumpkin on the back of a kayak!.
Surf Program last week in Tofino was great! Thanks to all the 9 students who did a great job surfing and were a really fun group to be around! We picked a good weekend for weather! Sampling of the photos below!
Eco Ed has been awesome this Fall. Great students and the weather has managed to be perfect for our outings thus far! Here's a taste of the program thus far!
