Meet , an artist, illustrator and creative projects lead based in Montreal, Quebec.

On a calm day of November, I met him in the middle of his week of residence. The artist temper was blending perfectly with the peacefulness of the cabin. Everything was so organized and tidy. Even his blanket matched the colors he likes to work with. We can tell the artist has a great eye for design.

Lunar Tides written by poet and editor Shannon Webb-Campbell is now available for consultation at the cabin. Her poems explore the primordial connections between love, grief, and water, structured within the lunar calendar.

The poetics follow rhythms of the body, the tides, the moon, and long, deep familial relationships that are both personal and ancestral. Originating from Webb-Campbell’s deep grief of losing her mother, Lunar Tides charts the arc to finding her again in the waves. Written from a mixed Mi’kmaq/settler perspective, this work also explores the legacies of colonialism, kinship, and Indigenous resurgence.

Shannon has worked on her forthcoming book during her art residency at The Parcelles: Re: Wild Her. You can now preorder it via along with her others books: I Am a Body of Land (2019), and Still No Word (2015).

On a sunny day of May, I was meeting up with Shannon Webb-Campbell at the cabin where she was settled for her art residence. The ambiance was poetic, like her 💐

The poet, writer and editor is of Mi’kmaq and Settler heritage – a member of Flat Bay First Nation. Her books: the forthcoming Re: Wild Her (Book*hug 2025), Lunar Tides (2022), I Am a Body of Land (2019), and Still No Word (2015) reflect her mixed Mi'kmaq/settler perspective. Shannon is also a PhD candidate at the University of New Brunswick and the editor of Muskrat Magazine and Visual Arts News.

Meet the multidisciplinary artist from Quebec, and his dog Koboy 👋🏼 Cedric finds most of his inspiration nearby trees, wildflowers and waves. That’s why he never sticks in town too long. Being in nature is the way he reconnects with himself. That said, he has built his career around it, as a musician but also as a forestry engineer.

During his extended art residency — Cedric stayed two months — , he worked on his first album “Ballade pour Gwenaelle” which will be released soon and on The Parcelles’ land as a forestry engineer. He helped us building a natural barrier to slow down the curve of the erosion, spending a lot of time into the woods and by the ocean.

“I believe that the effect of the ocean has had a great impact on me. The gentleness of the waves gives the feeling that everything will be fine and the dynamic of the tides embracing the shore differently each time offers moments for introspection. The fear of missing out does not exist here! “ – Cedric

Rencontrez l’artiste multidisciplinaire de Québec, Cédric Langlois et son chien Koboy 👋🏼 Cédric trouve la plupart de son inspiration près des arbres, des fleurs sauvages et des vagues. C’est pourquoi il ne reste jamais trop longtemps en ville. C’est en étant dans la nature qu’il se reconnecte à lui-même. Il a d’ailleurs construit sa carrière autour d’elle, en tant que musicien mais aussi en tant qu’ingénieur forestier.

Pendant sa résidence artistique prolongée - Cédric est resté deux mois - , il a travaillé sur son premier album “Ballade pour Gwenaelle” qui sortira bientôt et sur les terres des Parcelles en tant qu’ingénieur forestier. Il nous a aidés à construire une barrière naturelle pour ralentir la courbe de l’érosion, passant beaucoup de temps dans les bois et au bord de l’océan.
