Hello everyone, I am excited to share with you that after over 30 years in my bookkeeping career, I have decided to redirect my passion and skills and refine my abilities as a travel agent.
As many of you know, my husband (Rob) and I have owned businesses – we have successfully started some from the ground up and sold them as well as purchased businesses to merge them (which we continue to successfully run). From the very beginning, I began to coordinate business trips for our companies to various locations throughout North America and business development trips in the Caribbean (Belize). From this (and through our love of travel), I began planning and implementing many leisure trips that Rob and I have taken (with and without our children) periodically through most of our marriage (35 years this year 😊). This includes such trips as, multiple cruises (Alaska, Caribbean [East/West], Panama Canal, Disney, Hawaiian, Mediterranean) and touring trips (Canadian Maritimes, Rocky Mountains, Arizona to California-Disneyland, Interior of British Columbia, Florida, Texas, San Francisco, Wisconsin, Nevada, New York). Doing so has given me a stronger appreciation and now a love of researching places to go; as well as the best way to get there, where to stay, travelling via rental vehicles once there, and coordinating an assortment of activities to do. This all began to intertwine with more elaborate personal trips - coordinating leisure type journeys for multiple families to attend; such as, touring the Canadian Rocky Mountains with our American families; a trip to Denmark to visit family and tour all of Denmark, followed by travelling by train to different European countries; cruise trips on the Mexican Riviera; multiple trips to Las Vegas as large groups and smaller groups, organizing flights, rental vehicles, hotel accommodations, travel routes, restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, beach days, and many more events.
It was through these many successes it was suggested to me that I should consider becoming a Travel Agent; and from this gentle suggestion/encouragement, I decided to look further into this as a career to assist others in bringing them the vacations of their dreams.
Consequently, I have become a Travel Designer with Go Travel.
Understandably, not many of you would be agreeable to travelling during the pandemic, but many of you are and/or will be itching to travel when this is over. In the meantime, if you would like to ‘kick some tires’ for options of places where you would like go and get a feel for potential costing based on some of the options for your trip, please give me a call (1.877.987.4770 ext. 1123 or 780.405.7822) or email me at [email protected]. I would love to have the opportunity to provide you with an overview perspective for your dream trips.
Now’s a great time to start squirrelling away small savings toward your holiday and your dream vacation.
This is an extremely exciting time for me (and hopefully exciting for you too)! With any luck we will all be travelling again by next year!
