Skiing and sailing through the Troms County (AKA Lyngen North) was nothing short of an exceptional experience.

Ski touring from sea level to summits, fishing/ harvesting mussels for dinner and sailing through arctic made for an incredibly varied trip. We spent five nights anchored in shelted bays while island hopping in search of savoury descents.

A big thanks to our hosts Maria and Ulrik from and to our clients who made this trip possible. If this looks like a good time, we’re already making plans for next year⛷️⛵️

Spring camps are hands down my favourite trips of the year— this one was particularly good. The only way to access this zone was to don big pack and walk into it. The juice was worth the squeeze, 1000m+ runs, spectacular views and adventure abound.

A big thanks to clients who trust me to help them fulfill their thirst for adventure.🤝

Over the past four days, I guided a ski multi-day ski tour in the Central Kootenays. As the trip progressed, the skies cleared and the temperatures rose steadily, culminating in a weak overnight recovery last night and continued warm temperatures this morning; which prompted an early exit today.

After an incredible week of powder skiing, the temps sky rocketed and the rain fell. The weekend before last brought significant precipitation in mixed forms with elevated freezing levels, which yielded a significant avalanche cycle. Sadly, it claimed the lives of three people. Over the course of la...

We've had quite the mid-March so far. After an extremely cold and dry February followed by a severe warm up, the taps have turned on and we've received approximately a meter of storm snow in the past week (region dependant) on the Powder Highway. This massive shift in the weather

After a week where 50+ cm fell with moderate to strong winds and warm temperatures; finally, the skies cleared, the temperature cooled and the winds subsided. The majesty of the Howson Range revealed itself to our group from California and Alberta on March second. It was their first time to the Burnie Glacier Chalet and my fifth week guiding there. Éliel Bureau-Lafontaine was my co-guide for the week and a seasoned Burnie guide—it was his 19th week in the Range....

Cold temperatures have persisted over the last week, making for great skiing in the sun and cold valley bottom approaches. There has been a bit of a reprive from the cold of over the past couple of days with temperatures in Rogers Pass increasing to daytime highs of -10. This

Temperatures have plunged recently, but the skiing is still fantastic. The big dump we had in early February and subsequent small inputs of precipitation have tapered off as this cold front moved in. The 50-60cm of storm snow has settled to 15 -30cm over top of the January 30 crust/

The pow gun has turned back on again; in the past 24 hours Kootenay Pass has received 29cm of snow at -4 cm with moderate SW winds. The recent dump has been a sight for sore eyes as we've had very little snowfall in the past three weeks. The clear

The Raide TourTech Bibs are built for ski tourers who look to go further. They offer a great balance of breathability and weather protection. Their hybrid design combines stretchy/ breathable softshell material in the thigh area and the PFAS-free hardshell knee and lower leg to keep you dry and comfortable on the uphill. Raide TourTech Bib in action The hybrid design manages the interface of deep snow and breathability quite well; however the thighs are still a soft shell and get wet on stormy days....
